Good night anxiety

 

Leave me alone tonight

with my raucous needs

so, with silence, I would sleep

Good night anxiety,

O! my old companion

You kept me standing

in passing moments, and years

But tonight, I have to sleep

with help of wine and tapster

Goodbye till tomorrow

Perhaps, it was only yesterday,

that you pushed me forward

And when cloudbursts rained

you took me to the sun to discover

But tonight

I’m buying moon dreams,

so I might sleep

Good night anxiety

How long you'll stay with me!

I’m not afraid of death

loneliness is thence my constant help,

and drunkenness, way of forgetting life

Then why

people’s judgment,

Tranquility of innocent!

Perhaps,

future would grow us apart,

and I’ll surrender you

to the hands of heirs

But tonight, I have to sleep

Good night anxiety

Until tomorrow

Actually I'm trying to translate all my poems to French and English. It is something came from encouragement of friends (Azarine jan and others).

I discussed with Azarin and Souri jan and everyone says and agreed MPD is the best. As I've a lot of poems, I hesitate asking his help too much, he should have other "kar o zendegi" :-)

Still thanks to him and all IC friends for your support.

Soosan khanoom, you are probably correct.  I guess what is important is that Orang wrote a beautiful poem and MPD did a great job translating it.

All the credits should be given to the poet with especial thanks to the translator .....  usually that is the case ......  after all this is the poet who has created these thoughts anyway ........... 

so this belongs here with Orang  ......... and he already thanked MPD for it ....

so in my humble opinion this should be fine  .......

But at the end, you thanked MPD for translation, so may be he should do the blog. Or is it since you wrote the Persian one, you get to blog the translation too?
