In Jesus, all Mohammad, no Yahweh
In Christmas, no Bethlehem, all Mecca, where art Thou, O’ Lord
All holy books, no holy books, give me a Bible, or if you will, a Koran
Show me the way, O’ Lord, at your feet, in our bosom, with our love, all through and through
All Heaven, no Hell, yes my sweet, wash your feet
Caress my hair, kiss my lips, yes my darling, through eternity, yet to come
My Prophet, your Prophet, all to no avail
Kiss his hand, at his feet, yes my darling, all blessing abounds, yes Mowlana
My God, your God, yes my sweet, even better, no God
All blessing, total ecstasy, yes my precious, all angels, waiting at hand
Nothing terrible, afraid not, walk with me, yes my sweet, with total bliss
From here to there, in all dimensions, the total Grace, our very Lord, yes my precious, where art Thou, O’ Lord
Moses calling, O’ Bahaullah, kneel at the sight, our Mowlana, right here
Sweet Jesus, O’ Mohammad, no Koran, neither Bible, but Divan-e Shams
Bless this union, O’ Lord, from eternity past, through eternity, yet to come
From our bosom, to your heart, yes my sweet, O’ Precious, the very foundation, of love, at our feet
All holy, nothing sacrilege, yes my sweet, embrace me, with all passion
Total glory, from God himself, embrace this, the bliss, the holiness, in total ecstasy, yes Mowlana, at your feet
Nothing blasphemous, all holy, yes my darling, we need, no Prophet
All casual, nothing formal, dancing with the angels, yes my sweet, at the throne, of God Almighty
Hold my hands, dance with me, the Glory Of God, at our feet
Yes Mowlana, All Shams, yes my darling, no Prophet, none needed
All angels, no angels, yes my darling, none needed, none at all
I’m your angel, and indeed, you’re mine, drink from this, the elixir, of Love
My sweet darling, all that exists, none that exists, within us, all through and through
Yes my Lord, I am you, and you are me, O’ Precious, we are One, all through and through

by yolanda on Thu Dec 24, 2009 09:11 PM PSTHi! Humility,
There are a lot of interesting facts about your country, I am learning new stuff every day by watching You-tube videos. I am so glad that you enjoy watching the videos, also. I am not sure about the music videos, of course, I like music very much.....I can't guarantee other people like my type of music.....it is a big surprise if you like the music videos.
The book is getting very interesting. I am almost done with one chapter and I am thinking of the next chapter already. I am also conducting my own research. If I find anything interesting, I will definitely share with you and PT.
I am currently reading the "sufism" within the chapter of Islam....Thank you so much for recommending the book, I have started to understand more about the theocracy in Iran.
Take care and happy holidays!

A poem by Rumi:
**************************
look at love
how it tangles
with the one fallen in love
look at spirit
how it fuses with earth
giving it new life
why are you so busy
with this or that or good or bad
pay attention to how things blend
why talk about all
the known and the unknown
see how the unknown merges into the known
why think seperately
of this life and the next
when one is born from the last
look at your heart and tongue
one feels but deaf and dumb
the other speaks in words and signs
look at water and fire
earth and wind
enemies and friends all at once
the wolf and the lamb
the lion and the deer
far away yet together
look at the unity of this
spring and winter
manifested in the equinox
you too must mingle my friends
since the earth and the sky
are mingled just for you and me
be like sugarcane
sweet yet silent
don't get mixed up with bitter words
my beloved grows
right out of my own heart
how much more union can there be

A poem by Rumi:
*****************
you mustn't be afraid of death
you're a deathless soul
you can't be kept in a dark grave
you're filled with God's glow
be happy with your beloved
you can't find any better
the world will shimmer
because of the diamond you hold
when your heart is immersed
in this blissful love
you can easily endure
any bitter face around
in the absence of malice
there is nothing but
happiness and good times
don't dwell in sorrow my friend

A poem by Rumi:
Only BreathNot Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu
Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion
or cultural system. I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve or any
origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.

A poem by Rumi:
All through eternity
Beauty unveils His exquisite form
in the solitude of nothingness;
He holds a mirror to His Face
and beholds His own beauty.
he is the knower and the known,
the seer and the seen;
No eye but His own
has ever looked upon this Universe.
His every quality finds an expression:
Eternity becomes the verdant field of Time and Space;
Love, the life-giving garden of this world.
Every branch and leaf and fruit
Reveals an aspect of His perfection-
The cypress gives hint of His majesty,
The rose gives tidings of His beauty.
Whenever Beauty looks,
Love is also there;
Whenever beauty shows a rosy cheek
Love lights Her fire from that flame.
When beauty dwells in the dark folds of night
Love comes and finds a heart
entangled in tresses.
Beauty and Love are as body and soul.
Beauty is the mine, Love is the diamond.
They have together
since the beginning of time-
Side by side, step by step.

It has mountains, rivers, streams, landscape, snowscape, Persian food, desserts, bakery, kebabs, garden flowers, wildflowers....at the very end, the guy drank the stream water with a smile.....he must love his motherland very much!

by yolanda on Thu Dec 24, 2009 08:26 AM PSTDear PT and Humility,
Yes, I will post more stuff here and continue to participate. I like this very unique blog and you are always very nice & cordial, and kind, you are the high quality people! What I was saying is that don't post too much stuff in one night, other people may feel uncomfortable when they look at the "Recent comments" table......sorry, sometimes, I am a little self-conscious.....
I will keep reading the book, I do love to learn and know the world and understand other religions.
I bought materials from Michael's Art and Craft Store yesterday, I will start to make a poster with Rumi's seven advice. When it is done, I will take a picture and provide a link in this blog. I think Rumi's poetry and works should be translated into every language in the world. His works make perfect sense!! I am so glad that I learned about this great man after I participated discussions here. I am truly lucky!!
Take care and more stuff will be posted later, I promise!!

by Passing Through on Wed Dec 23, 2009 08:40 PM PSTThank you for all these beautiful videos
Let me say this first: I loved this poem by Rumi that you posted:
With the Beloved's water of life, no illness remains
In the Beloved's rose garden of union, no thorn remains.
They say there is a window from one heart to another
How can there be a window where no wall remains?
Regarding religion, and love, we had this discussion in an earlier blog (You need to be logged in to read the comments):

by yolanda on Wed Dec 23, 2009 07:01 PM PSTDear PT,
Hi! I really like these verses:
Yes my Lord, I am you, and you are me, O’ Precious, we are One, all through and through
They are great verses! Not everyone has God in their hearts. Some people act like: they are Gods themselves, or there is no God, or they are smarter than God. Apparently you have God in your heart, which is great! I feel that your poems have similar spirit as Rumi's poems 'cause you talk about God in your heart instead of in the different religious rituals. If you don't mind, I am going to post some Rumi's English poems here. If any poems or videos are not appropriate for this blog, please let me know, I can take them down. Thank you so much for your blog. I really learned a lot here, I have a great time!
Take care!! God bless you!

Persian Invention #37 - the story, "One Thousand and one Nights", Yes, it is also Persian invention......"Arabian Nights" is an absolutely misleading name, it should be called "Persian Night"!
Persian Invention #48 - www.ebay.com - yes, it was invented by French-born Iranian computer programmer Pierre Omidyar in1995.
