    I clicked on the 2 links you provided...... I noticed the LULU provides electronic version (E-book) of your poetry....that is great......some people love to read without touching the physicaL copy....some people love to own the book & take the book to the places that Internet/computer is not available.....I am glad that LULU offer both types of book......I like the olive green cover, too....

I previewd all the availabe pages...I noticed that you let people sample both the love poems and mystical poems......that is a great idea......lately I have previewed many books on-line, like Rumi poerty books...I feel that nowadays online book shopping is not much different from visiting a bookstore in the real world because of the preview feature.....

Yesterday I noticed that Amazon added a feature that previews the inside content of the book....it is really cool 'cause you can read a few pages before you decide to buy the book. I think it can help readers a lot in judging the book. Have you seen that? I just wanted you to know that today, I approved both copies of my book, the Original Version, and the Amazon Version, for Worldwide Distribution :)

As you can see, although the contents of the books are the same, nevertheless, the Covers, the ISBN's, and the sizes are different - The Original Version is Letter size (81/2x11), with 12-size font for the poems; the Amazon Version is 8x10, with size 10 font for the poems :)

I have kept the prices the same for both books :)

Finally, there is one other thing that I need to say:

The love of writing Poetry was inculcated within me from my Childhood in Iran, and developed further in my years in the U.S. - However, the opportunity of writing for Public never materialized until I actually started Blogging at Iranian.com :)

Consequently, I would like to, again,  say a special Thanks to The Iranian.com Organization in general, and to Jahanshah Javid in particular, for making all of this possible - I Sincerely Hope That You Are Aware That Your Influence Is Far Beyond This Web-site Alone - Seriously!!

Today I received both the 'Revised' version of Lulu, and also my Amazon proof - To be honest with you, the Amazon copy looks much better than I thought :)

I think that I am going to list Both of them on Amazon - You see, they have different covers, different ISBN's, and also different sizes (81/2 x 11 for Lulu, and 8x10 for Amazon) - This way, people can choose whichever they like :)

P.S. By the way, I kept the prices the same - With the Amazon copy, of course I make more royalty when it's sold on Amazon :)

    It is great to publish your book on Amazon. I have no doubt about it. I am glad that you are almost thru the process. Amazon has way higher profile and name recognition than LULU around the world. Even though you had a little bumpy ride with Createspace, it is worth it!

A Bit Of News :)

Dear Friends,

I was recently introduced by a friend to this other Print-On-Demand website called createspace - It's owned by Amazon :)

I tried putting the same book together that I did with Lulu - I have to say that I found the whole experience not as satisfying as with Lulu :)

In my personal opinion, Lulu was much more user-friendly, and the quality of the book produced superior - Furthermore, I actually had to re-do the entire text to make it fit into createspace's smaller template!

The only advantage that createspace has over Lulu is the fact that one's book gets listed on Amazon immediately upon approval - With Lulu, it could take as much as eight weeks!

One other thing: With createspace, since one is dealing only with one entity (Amazon only), and not two (Lulu and Amazon), one's royalty is typically doubled! - Which in itself could be a big incentive :)

Just wanted to let everybody know that the book arrived today - I placed the order exactly seven (7) days ago, last Monday :)

To be honest with you, I never expected the book to look so nice :) - It is much nicer than I had expected it to be :)

The quality of the paper, both the interior, and the cover, are absolutely wonderful - Furthermore, the print is just great :)

I am going to wait till my friends get their copies, and get their feedback - To be honest, I don't think that we need to do much revision, if any at all :)

Now, I have to focus on Marketing the book - If you have good suggestions, please share them with us :)

A lot of people have been having problems with their computers since JJ, posted that nude model on the front page of this web site. One even wrote a blog about it.

I had issues with my lap top too. I had to do some cleansing of it.

I do apologize for getting back to you rather late - To be honest, I have had some security issues with my computer since last night - I am actually writing this comment from a terminal at our local Marriott Hotel :)

Regarding self-publishing, as I have indicated earlier, I would like to encourage all to take advantage of it - As I have also said, there is absolutely nothing to lose!

I am awaiting with much anticipation, the arrival of my book :) I am sure that I would make some adjustments once I receive the actual copy!

But it takes all the fun out of getting rejection letters!

The best thing that an author can do is to put all of his / her efforts into getting an agent... and not any agent, but a good agent.  That, in and of itself, is a daunting task.  You can have the best material in the world, but most agents won't even look at you unless you are referred to them by a known entity.  

I was fortunate enough to be referred to my agent by a well known screenplay writer (Josh, you DA MAN!!!).  And I tell you, life has become a million times easier since then.  Now I can focus on writing as opposed to running around trying to sell the material.  Don't get me wrong, I still have a lot of stuff that get rejected, but at least I don't have to do the leg work to market them.  Plus, an agent can get your material to the right people, i.e., people who are looking for the genre and type of material that you're particular project is focused on.  That is also something that is almost impossible to know if you're not on the inside.

 Thank you! However, I still don't have enough material to make a poetry book. Unlike the poet of this blog, I write way fewer poems.

However, there is a story that I have been working on in private that I would like to see published one day.

I will certainly look into this self publishing company. Nur-i-Azal has made it even more interesting.

Certainly worth checking out.
