Although the covenant of God requires that he doesn't leave the people without any guidance and will send messangers at intervals to guide the humanity towrads a better life ; every religion has has tried to come up with something in their scripture to interpret it as making them the only true religion and rejecting the ones after them . In Judaism they refer to the fact that none of their laws can be changed and they are the chosen poeple. In Christianity they believe that Jesus is the God incarnate and the heaven and earth shall pass away but His words will not pass away. In Islam they believe Muhammad is the last prophet and Quran the last book. For the benefit of our Muslim Iranian friends , I would like to focus on the topic of prophet Muhammad being the last prophet and Quran being the final book. I would start by sharing some materials and can continue the thread as it develops. Please bear in mind that this is a personal one on one debate and its aim is to investigate the matter and not get tangled in emotions and close mindedness.

to start with,

food for thought

1- Wouldn't Jesus be considered a last prophet ? since he is expected to return and fight alongside Qaim?

It is way easier to evade resoning and resort to defamation and fabrictions as is the case against Baha'is. By caliming finality for Muhammad, they reject the Baha'is and by claiming perversion of the Old and the New Testament they avoid responding to the Jews and Christians.

It is easier to say Baha'is are " Najess", " Fergheh Zaaleh", " Mortad" and you name it to marginalize them and discourage contact with them than trying to come up with answers and explanations for the obvious points presented to them.

The Linchpin to Understanding Why Islam is in its Current State.

by faryarm on

The Linchpin to Understanding Why Islam is in its Current State, is understanding the verses in The Quran that point to Islam's limited period of influence and the promise of continued guidance from God and renewal of Laws according to the needs of the age...

Understanding that the laws of Islam were given for another time and condition is certain to clarify so much misunderstanding and criticism of Islam as a religion, A religion that was once a vibrant influence creating one of the most advanced civiisations in history; one that today is led by corrupt and self serving clerics who insist to hold on to their disappearing respect, power and influence, at any cost.

The Video clip above is a good example of the kind of Quranic reference  that if understood correctly can prove why The Prophet of Islam did not either claim to be the finality to Divine guidance , nor as so many other references testify do the words mean thaHe was the last ever Messenger from God.
