This is dedicated to our resident stalker friend "Zion." When I put up a "Muslims for Obama" blog here, Zion retorted: "Good, I hope they speak louder", proving yet-again that in spite of Zion's frequent dishonest protestations, and excuses, it is the actual religion of Islam that Zion hates and actively demonizes, not "terrorists", not "extremists", not even the minomer "Islamists". Zion wants to spread and actively bank on racist bigotry.
I hope Zion and his "like minded" allies can one day get out of this bigoted self-made prison and seek enlightenment beyond a binary black and white, good/evil and friend/enemy concepts.
Hope is a powerful thing.

But seriously, the Jews aren't any more or less monlithic than Muslems. Read Bernard Avishai's editorial titled Obama's Jews in the October issue of the Harper's magazine.

How depressing. We Iranians have had ample time to have another cultural revolution and yet haven't. I'm not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel. Especially with the masses that have embraced the Arab culture. Iranians seem to elect and reelect men who have claims to some Seyed lineage. I never understood how that was a claim of blue blood, being related to Mohammed. No disrespect to him. It just seems that if the IRI wanted to be truly patriotic their claims to an Arab lineage would debunk anything they tried to do. I do know that the books in Iran have been rewritten much like the red revolution in China. However the Iranian youth seem to be more savvy than to buy this stuff hook line and sinker. You would think they would want to embrace their pagan roots and not seeneh zan in the streets. I guess I should buy
Mr. Daryaee's book.
On a different note.
My family and I went to Greece 2 summers ago. The culture, the food, the people were so much like Iran. I told my husband who had never been to Iran. That this is what Iran would be if Islam hadn't taken a foothold.

by samsam1111 on Fri Sep 26, 2008 06:06 AM PDTDear Skatermom;
With thanks to Anonymousa for her/his input on the Ommatist defenition. My task is lighter.
My dear mommy, associating this regime with the term Iran is a mistake that most folks do ..so I,ve come up with my own tags or phrases to refer to it such as Qadesiyeh, Ommatist or...etc.. The term Qadesiyeh refers to the major battle of al-Qadeisiyyah in which the Arab Khallife Army defeated the Sassanid Iran Army and hence ceased the notion of Iranian statehood for good. I call this regime and it,s supporters with that term linking them to their forefathers in Qadesiyeh just like the occupation force in V-ran today. Now You probably might ask what V-ran means. V-ran is the term used by me to describe the post Qadesiyeh Iran as not to corrupt & associate the legacy of that sacred name withculture of Ommatism & Mavalis..now You might ask what Mavali means lol..Mavali is the term Arabs used for their subjugated slave nations such as in Iran like gholams, kaniz..It,s a term I use to describe the folks who bow to Ommatist culture as 2nd class citizen or Ajam ...Now you might ask what the term Ajam means..looool..your best bet is to read on or check my older blogs my dear...
Cheers!!
ps* I am not your average anti regime crowd..My beef with this regime is cultural rather than political,social,economical..& that goes with all post Qadesiyeh rulers (to a lesser extent pahlavis)..go skate now..
Ommatist is the same as
by Anonymousa (not verified) on Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:06 PM PDTOmmatist is the same as Khomeinist fudamentalism; those who wish to build a unified Islamic Ummah/government or Caliphate in the Middle East region.
According to Koran, all Muslims belong to the Ummah and not a specific country, according to those who support this notion of Islamic government or caliphate.
Islam and the Theology of Power
Khaled Abou El Fadl
“Supremacist puritanism in contemporary Islam is dismissive of all moral norms or ethical values.”

The phrase Ummah Wahida in the Qur'an (the "One Community") refers to all of the Islamic world unified. The Quran says: “You [Muslims] are the best nation brought out for Mankind, commanding what is righteous (Ma'ruf - lit. "recognized [as good]") and forbidding what is wrong (Munkar - lit. "unrecognized [as good]")....” [3:110] On the other hand, in Arabic Ummah can also be used in the more Western sense of nation, for example: Al-Umam Al-Muttahida, the United Nations.
The Constitution of Madīnah, an early document said to have been negotiated by Muhammad in AD 622 with the leading clans of Madīnah, explicitly refers to Jewish and pagan citizens of Medina as members of the 'Ummah'..

Okay thanks. I cant seem to
by skatermom (not verified) on Thu Sep 25, 2008 09:26 PM PDTOkay thanks. I cant seem to find its etymology. I'm not well versed in Arabic so what's Qadesiyeh?
"Ommatist" is a meaningless term of propaganda
by AnonymousAnonymous (not verified) on Thu Sep 25, 2008 08:05 PM PDTIt's a word used by some dimwitted anti-Iran traitors who disseminate the propaganda of the U.S. and Israeli governments.

Samsam, What's an Ommatist
by skatermom (not verified) on Thu Sep 25, 2008 05:03 PM PDTSamsam,
What's an Ommatist and Qadesiyeh? Why is an Ommatist on vacation? Oh and why can't one simultaneously hate Bush and the IRI? Why are these mutually exclusive. I'm not being flippant. I just want to know. Brief synoptic version please.
Good to see nice Jewsih people too

It must be the second coming.
