Speaker at Glenn Beck's hate rally wants to nuke Iranians
by Q
28-Aug-2010

Pastor John Hagee, a radical "Christian Zionist" and speaker at Glenn Beck's "I have a dream" rally (read: hatefest) today in Washington is on the record wanting a "preemptive nuclear strike" against Iran.

No relations to any resident Islamophobe and AIPAC cheerleader, that we know of!

This article is a rare glimpse of how this psychopath operates:

He speaks simultaneously to two audiences about Iran's nuclear capabilities: one that fears a terrorist attack by Iran and another that embraces a biblically mandated apocalypse. To impress the fearful, he mimics Bush's deceptions about Iraq's capacity to attack the United States with weapons of mass destruction, Condoleezza Rice's warnings of mushroom clouds, and Dick Cheney's dissembling about an alliance between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda. Comparing Ahmadinejad to Hitler, Hagee argues that Iran's development of nuclear weapons must be stopped to protect America and Israel from a nuclear attack. Preying on legitimate worries about terrorism, and invoking 9-11, he vividly describes a supposed Iranian-led plan to simultaneously explode nuclear suitcase bombs in seven American cities, or to use an electromagnetic pulse device to create "an American Hiroshima."

When addressing audiences receptive to Scriptural prophecy, however, Hagee welcomes the coming confrontation. He argues that a strike against Iran will cause Arab nations to unite under Russia's leadership, as outlined in chapters 38 and 39 of the Book of Ezekiel, leading to an "inferno [that] will explode across the Middle East, plunging the world toward Armageddon." During his appearance on Hinn's program at the end of last March, for example, the host enthused, "We are living in the last days. These are the most exciting days in church history," but then went on to add, "We are facing now [the] most dangerous moment for America." At one point, Hinn clapped his hands in delight and shouted, "Yes! Glory!" and then urged his viewers to donate money faster because he is running out of time to preach the gospel.

Well Q I did read.I read that Hagee was going to be at Glenn Beck's rally (He wasn't) and this was going to be some kind of 'Nuke-Iran' festival (It wasn't).I looked too,at your 'faux news' picture..So I called you a alarmist.Sorry but really what are you trying to say? That Hagee wrote a book in 2006 that the US should Nuke Iran? I still would have to read the book,I can't quite find the quote 'Nuke Iranians still from your link's.I don't really see the intention of Nuking Iranians as you do.
I think people understand him as he means to strike the Nuclear facilities.Prevent a Nuclear Holocaust in Isreal.He may also mean Nuclear tipped weapons to destroy Iran's Nuclear facilities.

Q

LOL Escape, I'm the alarmist exaggerating?

by Q on

Yes, it does mean nuke Iran. Iran = Hiroshima, that's what Hagee means. That's the end-times prophesy, of a "nuclear showdown" with Iran. If you can read anything (like my quotes below), you should see this.

Hagee thinks Bibilical book of Ezekiel describes a nuclear showdown in the middle east before end of days. He thinks Iran will nuke Israel immediately after it gets the bomb (which he said would happen in 2006!!!). His idea is to "save lives" but nuking Iran first, so that the biblical prophesy comes true AND Jews don't have to die (that is until a few days later when Jesus kills them for not converting).

Pastor Hagee rounded off the grand occasion with a blood-curdling address to Iran's President Ahmadinejad, a reprise of his suggestion in his book of Bible prophecy interpretation, Jerusalem Countdown: A Warning to the World (2006), that the US hurry to Israel's defence by dropping a pre-emptive nuclear bomb on Iran.
//www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/...

John Hagee, televangelist and pastor of the 19,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, is the founder of Christian United for Israel. Hagee formed CUFI in 2005 following the publication of his book, The Jerusalem Countdown: A Warning to the World, which sports a mushroom cloud on its cover and argues for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West. Hagee’s theology—and vision of the future—focuses on selected apocalyptic passages from the Old Testament. He believes that a nuclear strike against Iran will cause Arab nations to unite under Russian leadership, as outlined in the Book of Ezekiel, leading to an “inferno [that] will explode across the Middle East, plunging the world toward Armageddon.” Consequently, CUFI exists to set the fires of the Apocalypse and bring about the Rapture and the Second Coming, but it needs Jewish Zionists to strike the match.

Hagee subsequently wrote, in a Charisma Magazine editorial entitled "The Coming Holy War", that the preemptive attack he advocates should be carried out with nuclear weapons.
//www.talk2action.org/story/2007/3/5/105015/2...

"The end of the world as we know it is rapidly approaching," Hagee wrote in his most recent book, Jerusalem Countdown: A Warning to the World. "Just before us is a nuclear countdown with Iran," he wrote, "followed by Ezekiel's war [as described in Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39], and then the final battle – the battle of Armageddon."

Hagee subsequently wrote, in a Charisma Magazine editorial entitled “The Coming Holy War”, that the preemptive attack he advocates should be carried out with nuclear weapons…
Hagee called the 2006 summer Israeli bombing and invasion of Southern Lebanon a “miracle of God”…

//www.richardsilverstein.com/tikun_olam/2007/...

One need only consult the writings of John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church, a mega-church facility, and founder of Christians United for Israel (CUFI),F5F a strident Christian Zionist organization of immense national and international influence, to get the picture and see the problem. Although many premillennialists would more than likely agree that Armageddon is ultimately inevitable, they’d likely question whether it is imminently inevitable.F6F Pastor Hagee consistently argues that nuclear war is inevitable and peace efforts futile.

Despite Hagee's professed "Christian Zionist" beliefs and public support for the state of Israel, Hagee has made statements that some have interpreted as antisemitic, including blaming the Holocaust on Jews, stating that Adolf Hitler carried out a divine plan to lead Jews to form the modern state of Israel, calling liberal Jews "poisoned" and "spiritually blind," and stating that the preemptive nuclear attack on Iran that he favors will lead to the deaths of most Jews in Israel.[47]

Alarmist Exaggeration

by Escape on

at 5:12 Hagee says 'we must support a premptive strike to prevent a nuclear holocaust in Isreal.'

He DOES NOT say 'Let's Nuke Iran and Iranian's..

Premptive strike does not mean NUKE IRAN.

Hagee's intention is to protect Isreal,so what? It's not only Hagee's intention,it's the USA's as well as many other countries.

Here is a link of an article FROM THE ACTUAL RALLY

//online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703669004575457422990835474.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_LEFTTopStories

I didn't read anything about any speaker wanting to Nuke Iranians at the Rally.

If the USA joined in destroying Irans nuclear facilities,you would probably think we were GOING TO NUKE IRANIANS the same as HIROSHIMA.

After all this alarmist exaggeration you're unable to tell the difference as it's been shown.

So I've read time after time how it's disliked to exaggerate the threat's AN has made but immensely enjoyed to exaggerate the threat of 'nuking Iran'..

Every time U.S. has a democrat as a president reactionaries

by Mola Nasredeen on

create a so called movement to oppose him, be it Carter, Clinton or Obama. There have been quite a few of them since the Iranian Revolution. They usually demand no government interference in big business' affair. Moral Majority (that was niether moral or the majority), Christian Coalition, Militia, Swift Boat and now Tea Party are among the creation of the reactionary right in the United States.

Tea Party is paid and organized by the billioner Koch brothers who have paid for the transportation of today's rally in Washington. According to the New Yorker's reporter Jane Mayer, Koch brothers have spent 100 million dollars for organizing Tea party so far. //www.npr.org/templates/transcript/transcript.php?storyId=129425186

Going back to the 'Christian God' and 'Christian values' were among the main topics of what was blurted out by the speakers of Tea Party today. Hazrate Issa would've rolled in his grave if he knew what were said and done in his name.

The record:

Watch here from 5:12

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjMRgT5o-Ig

also on his book:

Aside from Hagee's largely forgiven anti-Semitism, the pastor was also a much valued member of the warmongering camp. Robert Weitzel writes, "Hagee formed CUFI in 2005 following the publication of his book, The Jerusalem Countdown: A Warning to the World, which sports a mushroom cloud on its cover and argues for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West."

Passages in Hagee's book indeed read as a horror movie script - Arabs united under Russian leadership, inferno exploding in the Middle East, and finally, the much-coveted Armageddon.

Where's the record?

  Something's fishy here Q

I clicked your first link looking for the big Nuke Iran statement from Hagee and find this media matter's article about Beck's confrontation with the Pope,God and his plan.I get a list of Beck's circumvention of himself into the Revelation from the TV show (which I don't watch) and then offered a final opinion of Beck.Where's the Rally? Where's the record?

So I click the American prospect link.I read about the book of Esther and John Hagee's book in a article from 2006 written by some Hagee follower.It still say's nothing..It says he arges the United States must join Isreal in a pre-emptive military strike against Iran to fulfill Gods plan for both Isreal and the West.

The Video and Hagee are very interesting..Isreal is Isreal,it's prophecy.This was written thousand's of years ago.Isreal is the Holy Land ya ya.Tell me,how do you fight that?..."Hagee stops just short of going to war'. Hagee is supportive of Isreal and rails on ahmadinejhad.So what? I still didn't hear any mention of Nuking Iranians,but Iran nuking Isreal.
