Does IRI have a large base in Iran? ..Yes " I believe if IRI shaves off some rough edges and cosmeticaly address some popular issues ' You be amazed to learn that it will even have a larger majority who will cheer it on no matter how misguided You might think it is. Then again some may ask ' Why? very simple!! It gives this nation the proper dose of "fuel" that has kept her busy for 1400 years'..I will elaborate on these "goodies" later..

For me to call IRI "Illegitimat" is easy because I am as you might call a "Ultra fringe lunatic" who believes Iran ceased to exist as of 637AD and the name has simply been hijacked without the proper content for last 1400 years by masses who happen to be in this land " yet act as guests. But to call IRI "Illegitimate" by opposition or folks who don't share my view for other reasons is pretty far fetched " unfair to IRI. I now elaborate..in my earlier blog titled "Iran'Spain " our Kashki patriotism" I did touch on the subject of how spain resisted and after 500 years came out of Khaliffate occupation still intactly "Spanish".

You see....The little "Mini IRI" " seeds that brew IRI in 1978 started centuries before when the first "Behzad waneh be Ibn Al Moghafah" started writing grammer for Arabic'or Abu bakr Razi wrote his Medical book "Ketab al Mansuri" in Arabic " dedicated it to Khaliffate "Al Mansure" .The bulk of our writers " elite wrote to glorify "Ezzat al Arabi" Except one " only one "Ferdowsi" and it repeated itself thousands of times over the next centuries..

IRI existed way before this regime and will continue to exist way after it's gone because there are millions of "Mini me IRI" hybernating in the minds of silent Detached'Ignorant " misguided majority with a twisted concept of "Iranian Identity". Reza Khan " to some Extent Shah tried how ever shallow to enlighten this nation about it's ancient roots " heritage and failed miserably.The same nation (me too as a 16 yr old) after 50 years of so called "Patriotic Education" spit them out like aliens.There was no IRI then " it's so called brainwashing machin.why did it happen? easy..Because ..this land " nation is what it is today..

IRI is us Iranians " not a separate entity;

It's not just IRI " Mullahs who enrich Arab Emirate and make profit'But those Saavy bussinesmen ' or thousands of men who marry 3 young wives at age 50+' The thousands of Academics " theoricians who give their services to bash ancient Iran " distort it's heritage 'millions who go to Hussaynieh " tekyeh to denounce infidels " worship Shia icons(to the point of infidelity itself) .millions who join Basiij and Sepah. Millions who cheer it's leaders in towns " villages'thousands who name their kids Nasrollah'Majority of Azaris who are content that Iran is done with it's so called Chauvenist Pan-farsist Aryan Pahlavi past' Millions of men who feel in control over their spouse'millions of Women who pay homage to imam zadeh's for "Dakhil"' Tons of Bussiness men who love IRI'millions of addicts who consider it "heaven-land"' The huge traditional Irani paranoid "Daii jan Napoleions" who found a team mate in IRI' millions of so called ventfull underclass who are given "how ever superficial" control over sub-sections of government ...and more...

You see ' The nation that got side tracked 1400 yrs ago finaly gave birth to her true child' IRI. The child knows her Mother full well

some misguidedly blame Islam but I believe you can worship your God and also keep your own culture intact. Islam did NOT force us to write Arabic'speak Arabic " celebrate foreign Icons " glorify foreign culture.

Dear Samsam
Your point is well taken .All of us are to blame for what is happening in our country and we can all make a difference. Ferdowsi made a difference and he was only one person.Somehow we are all waiting for other people to change everything for us when all we need to do is to raise awareness.IRI is infection of an old wound.At least now we can not ignore its existence.We should either deal with it or wait to die.

As usual, I agree with you, and of course you are correct to point out the long term root of the problem in Iran. However, to get to that point where we are free from the chains of slavery imposed on us some 1400 years ago, we may be looking at decades or longer. Meanwhile, the short term evil is IR killing, imprisoning Iranians , and our children. At this point, I am not looking at the problem long term, but in short term where unnecessary lives might be lost to these blood suckers in Tehran.

I can careless about the economic corruption in Iran, but this government could easily get my support, and I am sure many others if it stopped executing Iran's children, and putting in prison political opponents. I have no love lost for the west, but in comparison to the IR, I will prefer them any day, and twice on Sunday, they at least have the civility to treat their own people right. If IR wants people to support it against these so called "imperialist forces", it has to stop hanging Iranians, and killing political opponents.

If IR continues to be a bully against its own people, than the only way to deal with a bully is to have a bigger bully beat it up. I have no problems with United States beating up on IR through sanctions, or military strike against the IR's facilities, and government agencies. As long as IR is killing Iranians and hanging teenagers, our Iranian society is a barbaric one that deserves to get bombed, and be destroyed. History will judge the generation of 1979 revolution, and it will judge the generations afterwards, and so far we have been incredibly degenerate, with a complete lack of humanity. I am not talking about how we treat European travelers when they come to Iran, that is our third, or fourth face. Our real facade is full of corruption, dishonesty, and lack of will to stand against injustices to our countrymen who are dying in Evin.

Dear samsam; you may be right about our attachment culturally to the root of IRI's birth and existence and the religion of islam,
But most of us (the others) that never participated in the so called revollution,or carried the IRI's passport and have allways denounced that barbaic regime here and there and at the end also denounced his /hers religion alltoghether,
I'm always persian and will stay persian to my american born families,friends and neighbors.
Iran will rise again .
the west allready (more than 15 years ago )gave these thugs their PINK SLIPS Russia India China and E.u are sucking $$$ as much as they can for the time being .
Islam will leave iranians alone for good.
