by jamshid on Tue Nov 27, 2007 07:29 PM PSTSorry, but there is only "mind" which is made of cells and their neurochemical interactions. No spirit. Spirit is the creation of man's imagination. God is the creation of man's mind.
I have said this before in other posts, but if god is allmighty and allknowing, then why doesn't he stop a child getting raped by a brute?
Even if there is a god, he is not the god of the semitic religions. He could be like gravity oblivious to good and evil.
In my opinion, the thought that the spirit of good has touched you, is just a state of your mind. A state of neurechemical interactions and feedbacks. It is not proof of god.

Then to explain this conflict, you blame your lack of knowledge for not "understanding" god.
Why don't you just say there "may" be no god at all?
