I have never been to the Disneyland but if you asked me I would have told you not to bother. Like you I just don't like the fake things although I do appreciate the streets without the dog poo. Next time just ask :)

Each one has its own taste and appeal.

1. I'd go Qom, for some 1st rate silk rugs;

2. Don't mind Mashhad, for re-visiting the tomb of Ferdowsi and the Koh-Sangi;

3. Karbala is my no-go line (don't like the Iraqi and the Shiite);

4. Mecca is interesting during Haj, if you are uptodate on all your vaccinations;

5. Disney in Florida ... well at least not for another 2 years!
