Should old acquaintance be forgot,  

and never brought to mind?  

Should old acquaintance be forgot,  

and the old Iran gone by?  

…  

For old parting Iranians,  

for all the auld good times.  

We'll take a cup of kindness yet,  

for the old lovely sights.

…

And surely you buy your wine,  

and surely I’ll buy mine!  

And we'll take a cup of kindness,  

for the old Iran might.  

…  

Our country has run in Shiite,  

terrorism and crime.  

But we’ve sundered many weary foot,  

since and will keep alright!  

…  

We all have paddled in trouble,  

from morning sun till down.  

But ties between us broad have soared,  

since that Shiite Khomeini died.  

…  

And there’s a hand my trusty friend  

and give us a hand of thine!  

We’ll take up a mighty dagger,  

to the old Islamist heart!

متاسفانه، دو سال گذشته بر بسیاری از هموطنان ما سخت و دشوار بود، ولی‌ به امید خدا و حق فال حافظی که دیشب به نیکی‌ آمد، امیدوارم که این سال و سال‌های پس از آن جبران مافات کند و مرهم دردها باشد.

بیا که رایت منصور پادشاه رسید

نوید فتح و بشارت به مهر و ماه رسید

جمال بخت ز روی ظفر نقاب انداخت

کمال عدل به فریاد دادخواه رسید

سپهر دور خوش اکنون کند که ماه آمد

جهان به کام دل اکنون رسد که شاه رسید

ز قاطعان طریق این زمان شوند ایمن

قوافل دل و دانش که مرد راه رسید
