Very large gaps in the
by Sargord Pirouz on Sat Apr 10, 2010 08:55 PM PDTVery large gaps in the history remain. The search function is still weak. Not many images per entry.
Much of the text is of superior quality, and the bibliographies are very useful.
However, in certain respects, Wikipedia is more comprehensive, better detailed and more dynamic (even though the level of scholasticism is not as consistent).
Encyclopaedia Iranica appears in need of additional input and greater human resources.
Very exciting news

by humanbeing on Sat Apr 10, 2010 10:58 AM PDTthis is so important! as jj said, to be recommended also to 'others who are curious about Iran and Iranians' (that's me). i'm going to check tomorrow morning if our university library has a license for this. can't wait to put little ones to bed and sink into this site.
Two questions
by ناتور دشت on Sat Apr 10, 2010 10:35 AM PDTIs it true that Iranica is established and run by our dear Bahai fellow citizens? Has its account ever been audited?
Thanks Shorts

Can't get any better
by Jahanshah Javid on Sat Apr 10, 2010 09:29 AM PDTIranica is the best source for Iranian culture and history. And I'm so pleased that they have revamped their website to make it more beautiful and accessible. You should recommend it to everyone, young and old -- and not just Iranians, but all others who are curious about Iran and Iranians.
