what a joke

The regime should first collect the reparations from the war with Iraq.

Iraqi reparations to Kuwait (the very country that funded their arab brother during the war with the Persian "ajams") so far has reached some 60 billion dollars and continues to rise. Meanwhile Iran waits for its first penny!

Kuwait is a western puppet and Iran is supposedly independent!!!!

or, all 2nd world war veterans and their families would be treated like the veterans of the Iran/Iraq war, which means they would be bitten in the street to show them the nation's gratitude.

This was good!

by Gordzad on

I don't understand why some of the commentators are angry. I am sick with flu, having a lot of pain. Watching this I was laughing so much my wife came down to see what has happened! Come on, AhmaGHinejad is funny! His lies are so obvious it is just to sit back, relax, and laugh. If I were in Iran I would attend all his talks. I mean, how often do you get a clown in a president's dress?

I often wonder about the mental balance of those who go to hear this idiot talk.

FYI/Diaspora Petition Against Ahmadinejad's Holocaust Denials

by Darius Kadivar on

Upon the controversy triggered a few years ago by President Ahmadinejad's revisionistic policies, many prominent members of the Iranian Diaspora petitioned against the Islamic Republic's Historical revisionisms and Holocaust Denials :

Iranian Diaspora Intelligentsia Unite Against Islamic Republic's Holocaust Revisionism by Darius KADIVAR

To my knowledge this initiative was not highlighted enough in the Western Press nor was it highlighted by any Iranian American organization be it NIAC or AIC which seemed to overlook this commendable initiative in favor of Anti War Protests and demonstrations in favor of Iran's right to nuclear technology.

If I am wrong, please offer evidence to the contrary, I would very much be interested to see what was NIAC or AIC's stance on this particular question at the time.

Best,

DK

STATISTICS:human losses for Iran during WWII ~ 200 people

by Darius Kadivar on

Iran's population in 1939 was approximately: 14,340,000.

Military deaths due to Conflict by the end of WWII : 200

Civilian Deaths due to Conflict by the end of WWII : 0

Total Number of Deaths (all countries included) during WWII worldwide : 62,394,200 to 78,339,200

Human Losses of World War II by Country:

//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties#Human_losses_by_country

6 million Jews however were exterminated in Nazi Concentration Camps: dispatched throughout Europe most of whom were civilians and not military personal. This Crime was to be known as the Shoah or Holocaust which led to the establishment of the first Criminal Tribunal for War Crimes held in the German City of Nuremburg. Despite the Horrendous crimes carried out by the Nazis, this Tribunal condemned to death only 11 high officials of Nazi Germany to More Here

Given WWII's casualties that amounted to 60 million deaths (mostly in Europe and the Pacific and North Africa) President Ahmadinejad's claims seems quite disproportional given that Iran's human losses amount to 200 people and all military personal ...

Mahmoud Shoma Faramoush Kardeed Nah Mah ! ;0)

by Darius Kadivar on

Despite Iran's diplomatic alliance with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy during Reza Shah's reign, however after his abdication in favor of his son Muhamed Reza Shah Pahlavi, Iran was admited as a full member of the Allied Forces which contributed to the Efforts of War against the common enemy: The AXIS Forces ( axis : Germany-Italy-Japan).

Far From being humiliated, Iranian Armed Forces even joined the Ceremonies during the Victory Celebrations in London represented by an Iranian Military Unit which paraded along with other Allied forces.
