به گزارش جرس بهنام گنجی از دوستان کوهیار گودرزی بود که در روز نهم مرداد همراه کوهیار گودرزی و یکی دیگر از دوستانش در منزل شخصی اش در تهران توسط نیروهای لباس شخصی بازداشت شده بود. در حالیکه بهنام گنجی و دیگر دوستش روز ١٧ مرداد از زندان ازاد شدند، کوهیار گودرزی همچنان در بازداشت به سر می برد. صبح روز دهم مرداد نیز پروین مخترع ، مادر کوهیار در شهر کرمان بازداشت شد. بهنام گنجی در حالیکه سابقه هیچ فعالیت سیاسی نداشت به سلول انفرادی بند ٢٤٠ زندان اوین منتقل شد و تحت فشارهای روحی و روانی شدید بازجویان برای اعتراف به مسائل خلاف واقع قرار گرفت. فشارهایی که منجربه افسردگی وی شد و نهایتا همین افسردگی باعث خودکشی وی شد. بهنام نیمه شب پنجشنبه ١٠ شهریور با خوردن قرص به زندگی خود خاتمه داده است.

I was the one who asked that question. I can definitely see your point now. I thought it meant only a hatred for the U.S. left over from the days of idolizing the Workers Paradise.
