Marzieh Vafamehr to be lashed 90 times over Australian film

An Iranian actress has been sentenced to 90 lashes and a year's jail in Tehran for her role in an Australian-produced film that criticises Iran's hardline policies on the arts.

Indeed a shame

Tehran for Sale was a great flick. I hope this verdict is overturned. No one can stand 90 lashes. Saudis decided against lashing the woman who drove a car in Jeddah a few weeks ago. These cockroaches are worse than the very people they emulate!

This is such a shame.  She played really good in the movie My Tehran For Sale.  Her punishment is right out of the movie, the same things they talked about in the movie is happening to her and others.
