The government should have used the sanctions as a way to demonstrate that the west is evil, I think millions of iranians would have bought it if they used the west as the source of the economical problem. But instead they say the west isn't causing any economical problem, and that will turn the attention to domestic source of problems...

More importantly though, there is, and always has been, more than enough money in Iran to feed every single person - US-sanctions or not. The only thing absurd is IRIs extreme love for everything not Iranian:
