In his 1993 release Phil Collins, "Uncle Phil" to many musicians, reminds of the importance of listening to both sides of every story. It is referrred in law as impartiality and a judge who lacks impartiality on any issue he is hearing is required to recuse himself. In some instances if his impartiality is chronic and egregious, he can even be removed from the bench.
