Iranians have heard enough of your BS demanding special status for "sacrifices" during Iran Iraq war.  It doesn't work anymore, you are bankrupt.  War would have not even happened if basiji thugs and their bosses had not dismantled the Iranian military, which Saddam and his thugs feared the most.  And it was the remainder of the Iranian military, not your basiji thugs, who stopped Saddam's thugs in his tracks in the first days of the war.  Iranian planes would take off from Dezful thanks to pilots released from prison, bomb Iraqi armor, and did not know if Dezful airbase was in Iranian hands when they came back.  Most of those pilots did not survive the war, and this regime or you anti Iranian parasites never thank them.  I don't see Iranian pilots and other regular military today coming and demanding from Iranian people special status and licences to kill for the sacrifices they made for their country.  Because when you fight for your country, you fight for your people, not against your people. 

Basiji thugs fight against the people of Iran, and the people of Iran will be victorious.  If any basiji fought against Saddam only to survive today and fight against Iranian people, they are no different from Saddam.  Saddam, Khomeini, and Khamenei were all equally anti Iranian.  So take your ttitude and find a country in which you are welcome.  Because you are not welcome in Iran and you know it.

در آستانه پایان ششمین ماه بازداشت خانگی رهبران جنبش سبز، نزدیک به ۳۰۰
چهره فعال سیاسی، فرهنگی، هنری و اجتماعی به همراه چندین تشکل هوادار جنبش
سبز و فعال در زمینه حقوق بشر، با امضای یک نامه سرگشاده خطاب به بیش از ده
نهاد و مقام بین‌المللی، خواستار اقدام برای آزادی میرحسین موسوی، مهدی
کروبی و همسران آنها شدند.

به گزارش کلمه، این نامه که به همت «کمپین اعتراض سبز» تهیه شده و تاکنون
به امضای ۲۸۳ نفر و ۲۱ گروه و تشکل رسیده است، با هدف استفاده از تمام
ظرفیت‌های بین‌المللی و حقوقی برای شکستن حصر غیر قانونی رهبران جنبش سبز
آماده شده و کمپین اعتراض سبز اعلام کرده که تا تاریخ ۱۰ سپتامبر ۲۰۱۱،
یعنی کمتر از یک ماه دیگر، کار جمع‌آوری امضا از علاقه‌مندان برای این نامه
سرگشاده، ادامه خواهد یافت.

در بخشی از این نامه، با اشاره به اینکه «هیچ کدام از مقامات قضایی، دولتی و
امنیتی کشور در طی‌ این مدت هیچ گونه مسئولیتی در قبال به وقوع پیوستن این
جرم و قانون شکنی بر عهده نگرفته اند و همچنین هیچ گونه حکم بازداشت،
احضاریه یا اتهامی از طرف مقامات قضایی در مورد این افراد صادر نشده است»

مرداد ماه ۱۳۹۰

نزدیک به شش ماه از ربوده شدن و حبس غیر قانونی کاندیدا های آخرین انتخابات
ریاست جمهوری ایران در سال ۲۰۰۹، میر حسین موسوی و مهدی کروبی و همسران
ایشان زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی می‌گذرد. این افراد از روز ۲۵ بهمن، به
دنبال دعوت از ملت برای شرکت در تظاهرات عمومی‌ در حمایت از جنبش‌های
دموکراسی خواه مصر و تونس، به صورت اجباری توسط نیروهای امنیتی و مأمورین
لباس شخصی‌ در منزل خود در حبس اجباری به سر می برند. از آن تاریخ ارتباطات
این افراد با جهان بیرونی قطع شده و تنها به صورت بسیار محدود با اعضا
خانواده خود اجازه تماس‌های معدودی را داشته اند.

این در حالیست که هیچ کدام از مقامات قضایی، دولتی و امنیتی کشور در طی‌
این مدت هیچ گونه مسئولیتی در قبال به وقوع پیوستن این جرم و قانون شکنی بر
عهده نگرفته اند و همچنین هیچ گونه حکم بازداشت، احضاریه یا اتهامی از طرف
مقامات قضایی در مورد این افراد صادر نشده است.

از طرف دیگر اخبار نگران کننده اخیر، که از طرف خانواده میر حسین موسوی و
زهرا رهنورد به دست رسیده، حاکی از وضعیت نامناسب جسمانی‌ آنها می‌باشد و
عدم اجازه دسترسی آنها به پزشک معتمد و مراقبت‌های پزشکی‌ از طرف مقامات
حاکم، نگرانی‌ها را نسبت به سلامت روحی‌ و جسمانی‌ این افراد به شدت افزایش
می دهد.

از آنجا که مقامات دولتی و قضایی در ایران در گذشته بار ها به طور
سیستماتیک معترضین سیاسی را بازداشت و مورد شنکجه قرار داده و مکرّراً حقوق
اولیه زندانیا‌ن را زیر پا گذشته اند بیم آن می رود که این تخلفات در مورد
آقایان موسوی و کروبی و همسرانشان نیز انجام گیرد و سلامتی، تمامیت جسمی و
روانی آنها مورد تهدید و آسیب قرار گیرد. لازم به ذکر است که تنها در ماه
ژوئن گذشته زندانی سیاسی، هدی صابر، در اثر همین ضرب و شتم ها و کوتاهی‌
نمودن مامورین زندان در ارائه اقدامات درمانی فوری، جان خود را از دست داد.

امضاء کنندگان این نامه یادآوری می کنند که این رفتار مقامات قضایی و دولتی
ایران در مورد این ۴ تن‌، در راستای نقض آشکار حقوق بشر، و همچنین نقض
قوانین بین‌المللی و داخلی‌ کشور ایران، از جمله اصل ۳۲ قانون اساسی جمهوری
اسلامی ایران، ماده شماره ۵۸۳ قانون مجازات اسلامی، ماده شماره ۹ میثاق
بین‌الملل حقوق سیاسی و مدنی و پیمان بین‌الملل برای حمایت از تمامی اشخاص
در برابر ناپدید شدن اجباری، می‌باشد.

از این رو از آن مرجع گرامی‌ تقاضا داریم که در راستای دفاع از حقوق فردی و
انسانی‌ میرحسین موسوی، مهدی کروبی، زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی، از تمام
ظرفیتهای حقوقی، بین‌المللی و دیپلماتیک استفاده کرده و دولت ایران را ملزم
به پایبندی به تعهدات خود در مقابل مردم ایران و جامعه بین الملل نماید و
در این راستا در جهت احقاق مطالبات زیر اقدام نماید:

• آزادی فوری و بی‌ قید و شرط میر حسین موسوی، مهدی کروبی، زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی.

• تضمین سلامت جسمی‌ و روحی‌ میر حسین موسوی، مهدی کروبی، زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی و اعضا خانواده این افراد تحت هر شرایط و وضعیت.

• انجام تحقیقات قضایی‌ فوری، کامل، بی طرف و دقیق برای معرفی‌ مسئولین
ربایش و حبس اجباری میر حسین موسوی، مهدی کروبی، زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه کروبی
و محاکمه عمومی‌ مجرمین این تخلفات و صدور احکام لازم برای آنان مطابق با
قوانین کشور و قوانین بین‌الملل

• محقق کردن حقوق فردی میر حسین موسوی، مهدی کروبی، زهرا رهنورد و فاطمه
کروبی شامل: فراهم آوردن امکان برخورداری آنها از وکلای منتخب برای دفاع از

The Green Protest Campaign together with a group of Iranians are
launching a Campaign in August 2011, in line with the Iranian public’s
demand calling to end the illegal detention of the Companions of the
Green Movement: Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and
Fatemeh Karroubi. As an initial step of this campaign, a petition has
been prepared to obtain signatures from people across the world,
addressed to the following officials and international bodies:

1- UN Secretary-General

2- State Ambassadors at the UN

3- United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)

4- United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran

5- Ministers of Foreign Affairs

6- EU Inter-parliamentary delegation for relations with Iran

7- UN Security Council

8- High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy

9- Organization of Islamic Cooperation

10 – United Nations Human Rights Committee on Enforced Disappearance

11- Inter-Parliamentary Union

The petition has so far has been signed by over 280 political as well as
social and cultural figures, in addition to 21 Human Rights groups and
organizations. The petition is hereby available until September 10, 2011
to entice general public’s support so as to obtain further signatures.
The Green Protest Campaign will subsequently present the petition to all
relevant bodies and organizations, utilizing all means available within
the international legal framework to pursue the demands of the
petition.

Subject: Open Letter Calling for the Release of Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi & Their Spouses

It has been more than six months since the abduction and illegal
imprisonment of Iran’s former presidential election candidates Mir
Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and their spouses Zahra Rahnavard and
Fatemeh Karroubi. These individuals were forcibly imprisoned in their
own homes by security forces and plain clothes agents, after calling
upon the nation of Iran to participate in public rallies on February
14th, 2011, in support of the democratic movements in Egypt and Tunisia.
Furthermore, since their illegal arrest, with the exception of a small
number of highly restricted contacts with their family members, the
aforementioned persons have been completely isolated and banned from all
communication with the outside world.

During this period, not a single individual associated with the Iranian
State, judiciary or security forces, has accepted responsibility for
these transgressions and violations of the law. Moreover, no arrest
warrants, summons or any charges have been issued by the judicial
authorities against the above mentioned individuals.

Furthermore, the recent reports by the families of Mir Hossein Mousavi
and Zahra Rahnavard regarding their grim physical condition, coupled
with the ruling government’s refusal to grant them access to reliable
medical care and trusted physicians of their choice, has only further
increased the concerns regarding their physical and psychological well
being.

Given the past history of repeated and systematic arrest and torture of
political prisoners at the hands of the Iranian State and judicial
authorities, and the repeated past violations of basic prisoner rights,
there is increased fear that such violations are similarly occurring
against Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and their spouses and that
their well being, both physical and psychological, is further threatened
and rendered vulnerable. It is worth mentioning that only a short while
ago in June, Hoda Saber, a political prisoner at Evin prison, lost his
life as a result of similar beatings and abuses at the hands of prison
authorities and their negligence in providing timely access to adequate
medical treatment.

We the undersigned wish to bring attention to the fact that the
behaviour of Iranian State and judicial authorities vis-a-vis the
aforementioned four individuals is in violation of basic human rights,
international law, as well as national laws in the country, including
article 32 of the Islamic Republic’s Constitution, article 583 of the
Islamic Penal Code, article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and
Political Rights and the International Convention for the Protection of
All Persons Against Enforced Disappearance.

We also respectfully request that in order to protect the rights of Mir
Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi,
you utilize every international, legal and diplomatic means at your
disposal, to ensure that the Iranian government upholds its commitments
vis-a-vis the nation of Iran and the international community. We ask in
particular, that you demand the following actions from the government of
the Islamic Republic of Iran:

* To expedite the immediate and unconditional release of Mir Hossein
Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi;

* To guarantee the physical and emotional well being of Mir Hossein
Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi and their
family members under all circumstances and conditions;

* To launch an immediate, accurate, complete and impartial judicial
investigation into the identification of those responsible for the
kidnapping and forced imprisonment of Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi
Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi, including the public
prosecution and sentencing of such criminals in compliance with the
Iranian and internationally recognized laws;

* To uphold the individual rights of Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi
Karroubi, Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi, including but not
limited to such rights as access to defence lawyers of their choice,
access to adequate medical care and trusted physicians for the
performance of any and all necessary medical examinations.

We thank you in advance for your immediate attention and action in
resolving this dire and inhumane situation, and greatly appreciate any
and all humanitarian efforts in this regard.

We don't celebrate the zartoshti culture, or Islamic culture.

We celebrate persian culture, iranian culture.

Religion (about belief) influences the culture, but the culture
encompasses far more things than just religion.  Culture is basically the way a particular
society is shaped by all aspects of its life. 

In the case of Islam, it has had many negative influences on our culture, which was far far far more cultured than when islam imposed itself on our society. It has banned too many good persian things since it came to power, including wine, women, dancing and song.

We have so many Mullahs who are very Religious, but are not cultured.  Culture is for example the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what
is regarded as excellent in arts, food, literature, manners, scholarly pursuits.

To know why basiji are so unappreciated, you have to first contemplate how much khomeini is hated among cultured Iranians and non cultured Iranians alike.  To strt with the basiji are responsible for murdering some of the finest and best Iranians the country had after the islamic republic was imposed on iranians.   

Most people don't appreciate the ignorance, intolerance, injustice, stupidity and arrogance khomeini and his basij brought to iran with the creation of his islamic republic.  The Basiji don't defend iranians or iran, they defend the political entity know as the Islamic Republic.
