I hear the news about iran EVERY DAY from radio 670 and other places, but i personally think, i hope i'm wrong. that iran is IN FOR A CIVIL WAR, why?  Because 3 years from now when maamood aamadinijaad's (as that's how they pronounce his name on american tv) term as president is over, people will most likely boycott the next election and although i can't exactly predict what's gonna happen, i'm sure something MAJOR is gonna happen. Now in case the government falls, THERE'S A GOOD POSSIBILITY OF IRAN SPLINTERING since there's no single person or replacement, like there was 30 years ago, someone who people can rally around. Moussavi and Karroubi's fan-base is A-NOT SOLID B-LIMITED TO IRAN'S FARSI AREAS ONLY,  so in light of these facts i WONDER what will happen once TOHFEYE AARAADAN'S term is over, ARADANIN TOHFASI. this is one thing that most people DON'T SEE COMMING, but i try to think ahead.

with the rate at which they have been enriching uranium it's gonna take iran another 17, 18 years to get to bomb-grade uramium ,so this is all gonna happen before they finish this nuclear program. unless they have had a secrete program that we don't know about, in any case the nuke program is out of the equation here.

iran's map DOES look a little like YUGOSLAVIA'S, but the difference is that YUGOSLAVIA was already a federation when it started falling apart.

you are right as far as suggesting that other MULTI-ETHNIC countries might end up partitioning too, IRAQ, TURKEY EVEN SYRIA are all muti-ethnic and the all have one thing in common, KURDS.

there's plan called the BERNARD LEWIS plan to REDRAW THE WHOLE MAP OF THAT PLACE.

AND IF YOU WONDER WHY I CHOSE THIS MAP IT'S BECASUE I CHOSE IT ON-PURPOSE, THIS MAP SHOWS THE SOUTHERN SHORES OF IRAN AS AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY CALLED AL-AHWAZ, anyway i think iRAN's government might wanna start another war to legthen the it's life-expectany.

Iran is an important country in the region. A distabalized iran will threaten all other countries in the region, namely Iraq and the Saudis (or the Kingdom as the Saudis like to call it....). With the announcement that Iraq has something like an additional 25% oil reserves than previously thought, the region is even more important now.

The west knows that the theocratic experiment they tried there has FAILED. What they don't know is how to fix it.

There will probably be a move to the center with the appointment of a moderate government (still probably Islamic)  and we'll see where things go from there. Iranains are smart and since they have (hopefully) learned from the mistake of the 1979 devolution, I see it almost impossible to make the same mistake again. and, all the temporary faithful you see supporting the regime will quickly dissolve into the supporters of whatever the flavor of the day will happen to be. They always do and that's one of our problems.
