Ali Vaez was born and raised in Iran. He is a scientist and holds a PhD in Biotechnology from University of Geneva in Switzerland. He is also a journalist and worked as Radio Free Europe’s chief correspondent in Switzerland for 4 years. He moved to the United States in 2008 to work as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School. He holds a master’s in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington DC.He currently directs the Iran project at the Federation of American Scientists.
