Iranian dissident Masoud Ali Mohammadi ‘killed by Arab hitman’ / Uzi Mahnaimi in Tel Aviv

An Iranian university professor killed last week by a blast from a remote-controlled bomb strapped to a parked motorcycle may have been the victim of an Arab hitman, according to opposition groups.

The murder of Masoud Ali Mohammadi, 50, a supporter of Mir Hossein Mousavi, the opposition leader, has been blamed by the Tehran regime on “mercenaries” financed by Israel and Washington because of his role as a nuclear physicist.

However, opposition groups who monitor Hezbollah, the militant Lebanese movement, in Tehran, claim that a member of the group, known by his pseudonym “Abu Nasser”, was photographed at the scene of the explosion in Tehran’s affluent Gheytarih suburb.

A German-based opposition group released a photograph of a man of similar appearance who, it alleges, was one of the pro-regime demonstrators who stormed Mousavi’s office in Tehran after disputed presidential elections last June.

The opposition claims the Revolutionary Guard uses Hezbollah operatives for some bloodthirsty tasks because they have a reputation for ruthlessness, and are outsiders and can always be blamed as opposition sympathisers.

Tehran has gone to great lengths to suggest that Mohammadi was killed because he was a nuclear scientist, implying that he was part of Iran’s programme to develop nuclear weapons.

However, Majid Mohammadi, a visiting scholar at the Institute for Global Studies at Stony Brook University, New York, and also a fr... >>>

The way IR handled Ali_mohammadi's funeral and family tells all who commited the murder.

read accts of his funeral by one of his friends. (FARSI)

We can just speculate from abroad: CIA, Mossad, MKO, Monarchist, etc. But his students, friends, family and coworkers who knew him personally know EXACTLY who did this.

What happens when your loved-one's murderer conducts his funeral?

FYI/Reza Pahlavi's Message Condemning Assassination (Jan 13th )

by Darius Kadivar on

From his secretariat dating from Jan 13th:

Today's bombing assassination in Tehran of a university professor leaves us all with many questions and increased concerns over the direction and militant environment that is engulfing our nation. There is no denying that the greatest perpetration of violence and crime against our citizenry is formally sanctioned by the regime's most senior decision makers. This must stop.

Having long been an advocate of a campaign of civil disobedience as the most effective method of defiance against the clerical regime, I condemn the act of violence today, including all individuals and or groups that are in anyway associated with its perpetration. I deeply regret this and all recent loss of life in Iran, and once again appeal to our nation's law enforcement bodies to side with their compatriots in defense of their safety, security and honor.

Ok, so he is there twice, or he is taken picture of a couple of times. That doesnt necessary mean anything important that you suggest. This is what i talk about when i say "no substancial proof" and "speculations". Im sorry you have reached a conclusion already.

Maiser - This hezbollah operative

His name is Abu Nasser.  He is a known Lebanese Hezbollah Operative. The photo below is of him at a Mousavi campaign office when it was raided and closed in the summer.

He can also be seen in this video, exactly at minute 18:10.  He is in the back talking to officials.

"Iranian dissident Masoud Ali Mohammadi" is a very misleading phrase to start a article with. The rest of it no better. Not many real facts here. Made by Israeli or sympathisers of that regime, to be taken as garbage by rational people.
