Dear Demo

There is nothing to be forgiven. You speak the truth as you see it and it should be respected. I have always maintaned that you are sincere in whatever you say and that all the unkind allegations about you were baseless. I should also thank you for  I learned so much from you. If you decide to go you will be missed by some, myself included, though I am sure some will be relieved. In any case, one way or the other, it is your decision and it should be respected.

there really is nothing to get worked up over here Baba. I think he is using an old trick in the book/ tactic of intimately known as "naz kardan" in our culture and is just taking some time off to organize his thoughts and come back with new ideas! 

Agreeing with AO 100% i also believe that Mr. demo owes us a discussion and some hard evidence that what was said in those holy versus, did not have the most commonly interpretted and accepted meanings! He so very cleverly tried to manuver his way around and out of offering a convincing explanation and instead we got an earful / eyeful (someone please correct me on that?)on how to make sticks out of feathers!! 

I mean come on baba joon. 

I believe in the thickness of AO's skin and i think a sample should be prepared and grafted to so many of online media users of all affiliations and backgrounds, starting with Faramarz...wait...with his most rigid and conservative and inside the jaabeh:) way of thinking .

"دمو" خان یا خانوم، هیچوقت این سایت مبارک را ترک نخواهند کرد، به هر حال، فحاشی، افترا به این و آن زدن، نقل و نبات پراکندگی روزانه در بلاگ هر کسی‌ که بگه:  "بالای چشم آقا ابروست"، یا "لطفاً به این بهایون ظلم نکنید"، کار و زندگی ایشان است، تا روزی که رژیم منفور، دزد، آدمکش اسلامی شرش از سر هم وطنان  مسلمان و نه مسلمان کم بشه. حالا اگر آبروی این اسم رفت، به درک، ده دوازده اسم  زاپاس دیگر قبلاً ایجاد و ثبت  شده است!

I'm sorry, maybe it wasn't you, but one of the other users who has similar ideas as yours.....

Anyway, I just wanted to mention that you and I, don't always agree on all the subjects.

Please reconsider your decision and stay with us. We need to hear every different voices. Without your comments (and a few others) this site will sound really too boring!

Demo cannot possibly leave

without debating the whole "God" thing in my upcoming "God blog!" He has made a promise, and I will hold him to it.  I will show up at his house at 2:00 am to debate him if he refuses to do it on my blog!  

Seriously, I've never had a problem with Demo despite our vast disagreements on many issues.  I also don't believe that my other friends here, such as Fesenjoon, DM and Faramarz have a problem with Demo.  They're just debating religious issues, specifically different verses of the Quran.  Sure the debate gets heated at times, but hey, that's the naure of things.  Religion is a sensitive topic, especially, as Fesenjoon said, you have it shoved down your throat for the past three decades.  

And one must also have a thick skin when s/he gets involved in online debates.  Look at me for Darwin's sake.  How many names do I get called whenever I post a blog?  And I'm still here, and not going anyweher (to a lot of people's dismay :-))

PS- Demo: the Darwin reference was for you.  :-)

Another conference of Fred boys behaving badly...another testament to how at our core, some Iranians are shockingly similar, whether Hezbollahi, Shah-ollahi, Massoud/Maryam-ollahi's or AIPAC-ollahi's. Some Iranians simply can't tolerate or respect opposing points of view and would resort to bullying and abuse of their opposition. I am really happy to see that you are taking some time off. Hopefully, during your sabbatical you will read a few books and expose yourself to other ideas. Relying on one book limits your opportunities.

Meanwhile, please assign a replacement for yourself so that we can have Quranic support in case questions come up.

And in case you decide to come back, please use your current username. You see, every time people return with a new username, I have to spend precious time and come up with new nicknames for them! It's very time consuming, you know!

Instead of sticking to your guns, I think the question you should be asking is: IF the Quran were to be a fraudulent man-written work (just like any other "Holy" book), then what? where do we stand? What does it entail? What can we do? Where is our place in this world?

I have no hard feelings against you. It's just that when you have the chomaagh of religion shoved down your throat for +30 years, it makes you a bit pissed off (to say the least) at anything that has the words God attached to it.
