گر قدمی، در پس، ازادی و استقلال، شرم نگیر، ای برادر

عشق میهن، بس صباحی، در دل و جان، اتش گرفته

Hi! Massoud and R2-D2,

Thank you both for your kind words.......I just hope the casualties can be minimized.....Wow! IC just posted Jannati article....the guy is short like a midget, but very cruel & cold-blooded, he is like a butcher......I hope he won't get any clemency on the day of reckoning......I also hope the international community can show more outrage and stop the "killing spree"!

Please take care!

yolanda

P.S.  You are definitely great Iranians!!!

R2-D2

Thanks Yolanda :)

You need to know that there are a great many Iranians, including myself, who appreciate your concern regarding the plight of the Iranian People!

Thanks Again :)

I have to say that this is the "darkest hours before the dawn

by میرزاقشمشم on

My dear;

Words are unable to express my sincere gratitude for your genuine comradeship you exhibit at this site. Please be advised that ritual ceremonies for the departed as you noted are of Islamic (or, shi'a) origin. In our own Zoroastrian tradition the deceased would be placed on top hill only to be scavenged by vultures; with not much of emphasis on the third, seventh, fortieth days and so forth.

Can you imagine, then, a city without a mountain? Corpses would have been left in deserts perhaps among cactuses.

You have to understand something: These people who are committing such atrocities towards the Iranian people, are essentially digging their own graves!

When the day of reckoning comes, which it will, and that this regime collapses, the brave people of Iran will be in no mood to show any type of Mercy towards these brutes and animals  ... Absolutely None! ... Massoud

Hi Massoud, R2-D2, Benross, and all the friends who stop by here,

I have to say that this is the "darkest hours before the dawn". I read the execution news and watched several videos last night. It is heart-wrenching. IRI tricked the 19 year old to confess the "crimes" and promised no harsh sentence.... IRI also locked up the pregnant sister of the 19 year old man in jail for 2 months......the dad wanted to know more about the case, they handcuffed him.....the sister had miscarriage......the teenager got executed without even notifying the parents......This morning I read 5 more people got death penalty.....I also read in the Press TV website that Jannati wanted even faster and harsher actions (executions?) against the protesters

//www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=117354&sectio...

We are less than 2 weeks away from 22 Bahman, I wonder how many more killings to come.......it is so hard to bear!!!!

From what I read, Iranian people love life, cherish life, and also deeply respect/mourn the dead....... They have very elaborate memorial ceremonies for the people who have passed away, on the 7th day and 40th day, etc.....On the other hand, IRI absolutely cheapens human lives.....it is very easy for them to carry out executions.....it is routine for them! I have seen execution videos and pictures on IC more than any other websites.... It really makes me sick to my stomach.....Iranians deserve way better than this....

I are praying that we will have some good news soon!

Please take care!

You are absolutely right that Iran (Persia) is a great civilization! Hopefully, we can resurrect that greatness once these Mullahs, and this Islamic regime, is got ridden off :)

The action to execute these two young men was atrocious!

I believe that the die has been cast regarding the future of this regime - Such atrocities will no longer be tolerated by the Iranian people - Absolutely Never! ... Massoud

Hi R2-D2,

The documentary is just great! Everyone should enjoy it. I like the natural footage on Iran (beautiful enough) and also the computer projections..... Persepolis would look grandiose without the fire! It is amazing that it was built 2500 years ago and before christ.......I am humbled.

Thank you again for the link!

Hi Massoud,

Thank you for your post. The executions just started. I don't know I should call it "executions" or "execution spree"......I am saddened. The 2 people look young. I think the 2 guys should have mom and dad if they don't have wife and children...... It is a sad day....I hope 80's style of  executions won't repeat itself.....I am not ready for that......IRI talks about Islamic clemency, compassion and merciful a lot...unfortunately I don't see much Islamic compassion from them.......

Please take care!

You're absolutely right .. People have plenty of courage now, and they don't care to insult the leaders for their corruption and atrocities!

BTW, I noticed the videos that you have posted right below this comment .. You can see the entire documentary, not segmented, at this blog:

IRAN - Seven Faces Of A Civilization

I left a similar comment in that blog on the front page which feautred it in segments :)

P.S. When you click on the Play button, if it doesn't start, just slightly move the position cursor to the right!

The Basijis are essentially under the full control of the Sepah.

Like I said, The Sepah would have the greatest to lose if this regime collapses - The momentum right now is with the People - We just have to continuously encourage them ... Massoud

Hi Massoud,

During the post-election protests, I was happy to read some police officers wanted to see people win (showing V sign) and did not carry out brutal crackdown...they just stood around...it was great! I always feel that Basijis are way more brutal than the cops. I just hope that the Sepaah start to be disillusioned and side with the people!

Hi R2-D2,

It is interesting that the old song has hidden message. Nowadays people are bold and they shout "Marg Bar dictator" instead of using codes. Hopefully IRI's days are numbered!

I look forward to 22 Bahman!

thanks,

by R2-D2 on

You are probably right. The lyric containing Gol-e Sorkhi kind of always gave me the impression that it was about him.

Also, see this link on Wikipaedia about Fereidoon which talks about the song being political,

Ghorbanat,

"Niaz"

by benross on

Thanks R2-D2 for posting this.

.. The video is from the Shah era .. It's a political song about the repression of the Shah .. It's in codes .. He makes a reference to a political prisoner named Gol-e Sorkhi .. This is the guy's last name, but literally it could also be interpreted as a Red Rose :) - The name of the song isNiaz which literally means The Need ...

But I should take grate exception on the interpretation you gave here. Only because it is one of my all time favourit songs!

This is a love song. As most songs of the time, mixed with starving for freedom as well. But it is a love song before anything else, and it is not in codes.

If the men of fairy tale knew you were here, they would have come to see you on flying horses.

What part of it is coded? This is a beautiful love allegory.

BTW, this song was originally entitled 'Namaaz' not 'Niaaz'. It was saying, instead of ritual namaaz and prayer to god, my daily ritual is seeing you. Then the word was changed to 'Niaaz' for not offending Islam. and the meaning changed to my daily 'need' is seeing you. It was a harmless change for a beautiful song but even back then, we should have know where the real oppression is coming from!

Thank you for your comment. I think that once the people in the regime realize that the end is in sight, that they would act pragmatic, and not be as brutal :)

You have to understand one thing about the Mullahs: Unlike the Shah, there are very few places that they can go to - For them to stay in Iran, they have to show less of a brutality than more!

The biggest problem right now is the Revolutionary Guards (The Sepaah). They have the most to lose if this regime collapses .... Massoud

R2-D2

Thanks Yolanda :)

The first video: The singer is Fereidoon Foroughi .. The video is from the Shah era .. It's a political song about the repression of the Shah .. It's in codes .. He makes a reference to a political prisoner named Gol-e Sorkhi .. This is the guy's last name, but literally it could also be interpreted as a Red Rose :) - The name of the song is Niaz which literally means The Need ...

The second song is also a political song regarding repression during the Mullah's regime .. It's also in codes .. It's with reference to a witch and a spell, etc. However, it is with reference to repression .. The singers are Ebi and Dariush .. Dariush is the one that you see his picture on the YouTube before playing the song .. Ebi is the other one - The name of the song means bread, cheese, and herbs .. all in codes :)

Hi! R2-D2,

Thank you for the 2 music videos. The 1st song is pretty sad! The 2nd singer (Dariush?) sang with a lot of emotion, he did a great job! I noticed that there are at least 2 girls without hijab in the video. Is the song from the era before the revolution?

Thank you for your post. I hope IRI falls soon and I want to visit Iran when I have the chance!

thank you for sharing!

Hi! Massoud,

Thank you for your great post! I agree with you 100% that:

*******************

The desire of the great majority of the Iranian people is to have a Secular Democracy: Where Government and Religion are kept completely Separate.

*******************

I just hope there will be less bloodshed or no bloodshed (less executions or no executions).......because so many people died in the war already. Every time I hear executions, it makes me cringe! I hope the victory is near for the brave Iranian people!

Thank you for the great post!

The time has come for these Mullahs to leave Iran. Thirty (30) years ago, the People of Iran were in such a hurry to get rid of the Shah, that they truly did not evaluate and analyze who would come after him!

As a result, the People of Iran came out of the frying pan of the Shah's regime, and fell directly into the fire of these Mullahs (The Islamic Republic)!

The desire of the great majority of the Iranian people is to have a Secular Democracy: Where Government and Religion are kept completely Separate.

There is no question in my mind that this Genuine Grass-Roots Movement in Iran will ultimately triumph! The questions is how many people this regime will actually kill before its collapse ... Massoud

Hi! R2-D2,

I am a little nervous about 22nd of Bahman. As you know, Karoubi just abandoned the protesters. I thought the guy is willing to go to jail for standing up to the IRI.....well, he just snapped......

I am praying that no violence & casualties on 22nd of Bahman, but a strong message can be sent to IRI that people can't take it anymore and we need regime change!!

thanks,

yolanda

Your videos are great :) You are absolutely right: 22nd of Bahman is a very important day - It's the anniversary of the 1979 revolution, which hopefully, this year, it will coincide with the collapse of this oppressive regime!

Let's all pray for that,

Hi! Massoud,

Thank you for your new poem. A friend on IC told me that your peom is about freedom and independence. Thank you for letting us post videos here. It is fun to search for videos 'cause I can learn something from the videos. If any videos you don't like, please don't hesitate to let me know, I can take them down. Thank you for your blog and forum. I am praying 22 Bahman turns out to be a great day!

Hi! R2-D2,

I am glad you came....I realized that I loaded the wrong videos in this blog, I just moved the videos to Massoud's last blog a while ago. Next time, I will wait for you first or use the Google translator to translate the poem before I post my videos.

I like your 2 videos and have saved them. I like Shams ensemble 'cause they play traditional Persian instruments. I love the footage from the historical sites. I also like Tehran is in blood video, the song is sad, but very beautiful.....many great photos there including the Photo of the Year from Life Magazine.

Thank you for sharing!
