All The Way To The Top
by ShamshirH (not verified) on Sun Feb 24, 2008 02:02 PM PSTMy experience with Iranians shows that they usually enter an unknown field and in no time they copy/improve/copy/improve until they reach the top.
The only 3 deficiency of Iranian sports have always been: 1. Bad management and lack of teamwork were every single member of the team wants to act as the leader and not co-operating 2. Poor medical/diet/food/supplements
3.Poor equipment and financing of sports figures
For now it's a good start, hopefully they'll reach higher grounds.

by Guy next door (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 05:12 PM PSTkayaker, these girls are members of Iran's kayaking team and it's only natural that they sport the allah sign on their helmets. it's not out of choice. Their not millionaire western athletes who have a helmet for almost every occasion. it's probabely what they've got. I say instead of nit-picking we should be proud of them and laud their effort to better themselves despite all the obstacles placed in front of them by the Iranian government and some of our own fellow insecure iranian males who can't stomach their sisters progress!
Good job to our Iranian compatriots!!
by Arezu (not verified) on Sun Feb 17, 2008 02:05 PM PSTIt shows that our women have the guts, the courage, and the will to take measures even if it means going against the government in order to achieve their goal.
Furthermore, this type of interaction with the West is very positive and benefits both the American and the Iranian people.
I am very proud of them. They will bring about change and no one can stop them..
I bet my bottom $ that these girl are tied to the Mullahs...
by Kayaker (not verified) on Sun Feb 17, 2008 12:47 PM PSTJust see the Mullahs' sign (ALLAH) on their helmets. It's just that they are related to the so-called moderate mullahs (e.g., Khatami et al).
I say fvck all Mullahs moderate or hardliner!
