Was Houssein Iranian?
by Persian Nodon (not verified) on Tue Jan 22, 2008 09:34 PM PSTMr John Carpender, so what that one of his wife's was Iranian, and Iranian were fed up with the monarcy and Zorostrian mollas. After 1400 years we now know that Islam and Mohamad and Ali and housain.... were disaster for us, but we still mourning for people who are not Iranian, and distroyed our cultuer and gave us nothing but rape and killing and silling. It is time for us to get rid of this backward religion.
Hussein's wife was the last Sassanid Princess Shabanoo
by John Carpenter (not verified) on Tue Jan 22, 2008 04:28 PM PSTImam Hussein's wife was the daughter of the last Sassanid king. She converted to Islam freely along with her brother Homoyoun. The last king was killed by an Iranian who robbed the last sassanid king.
Why did Iranians lose to the Arabs during Qadissiyeh?
Iranians were fed up with the Monarchy and Zoroastrianism.
Iranians at Qadisseyah looked at the Arab conquest as a liberating force.
That is why the princess shabanoo converted to Islam and married the grandson of the Prophet Mohammad.
Was Hussein Iranian?
by Persian Nadon (not verified) on Mon Jan 21, 2008 01:08 PM PSTImam Hussein was Arab, his father and mother were Arab. The confelect was betwen him and his relatives(cusins) and it happend outside of Iran (in today's Iraq,Karbala)and over power and money, none of these had to do with us Iranians. Are we stupit or what? Why are we mourning this stupidity after 1400 years? Can any one answer me?
listen to music in background
by Laugh or Cry (not verified) on Sun Jan 20, 2008 09:52 AM PSTThis music gets boardcasted regularly on state radio by Islamic Regime in Iran. This music with Qoranic language teaches disrespect, violence and pain for self and others.
Islam has brought Iranians nothing but pain, suffering, and despair.
This website need an editor
by Kamran (not verified) on Sun Jan 20, 2008 05:14 AM PSTThis is a video of a mentally disturbed child. It may have been made without his parents permission. This should NOT be on a public website for all to see. You should view it only if you are a medical professional.
Mr Javid unfortunately does not know that a publication should have an editor. This is NOT the same as censorship. This is one of drawbacks of the Internet in that anyone can publish pretty much anything & everything.
Once again please see this link for info regarding self harm/self injury or self mutilation:
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-harm
Mr Javid you should remove this video.

Imams
by Kouroush Sassanian on Sat Jan 19, 2008 11:47 PM PSTThese Imams looted, lived a comfortable life and then they stepped on someone's toes who was bigger than them - tough luck! Iranian Muslims mourn the death of a person who hated them with a passion!
Poor kid!
He may just be a bored kid!! Where are his parents?
by farrad02 on Sat Jan 19, 2008 03:59 PM PSTTeenagers and pre-teens do crazy things all the time, everywhere! It doesn't require Love of Hossein or crazy religious chants! I have seen worse from Western kids! Obviously this is a kid with some emotional and psychological issues (or he may just be bored!)
But where are his parents?! That should be the main question!!!
TO Curious
by Against Stupidity (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 02:38 PM PSTDear Curious:
I really don't want to convert this board to a chat room. But I feel obligated to answer your question, since you asked in a very polite way. However, please do not convert this to a chat room. If you do not agree with me, that is fine with me. I am sure a big majority in Iran and outside Iran do not agree with me. THAT IS FINE WITH ME.
My data is based on my observation over 60 years. I would say my sample size is easily 40,000 - 50,000 from big cities to small villages in Iran.
There might be an error of plus or minus some percentages. I do not believe that is an issue here.
My point is when majority of people validate events such as Moharram, we will have the same things in Iran, as we have had for the past 1400 years.
In case you ask what things has happened in Iran sine 1400 years ago. These are sone examples: Devotion to religion, no question asked. Dynasties who are directly or indirectly tied to religion running the nation. Having a spiritual leader dictating how people should live, like people cannot decide for theselves, etc., etc.
Iranian nation is waking up

Hussein (PBU) envy
by Anonymoushy (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 01:44 PM PSTAccording to all available religious biographies Imam Hussein’s(PBU) grandfather was the prophet of Islam, his mother Fatima(PBU), the daughter of the prophet and his dad Ali(PBU) was raised by the prophet, was the first to answer the calling of Islam and became fourth Caliph and was also the first Imam of Shiites. Also according to all religious literature and folklore Imam Hussein has gone to heaven. With that pedigree and the eternal residence in the heaven, shouldn’t he be mourning for us? Shouldn’t the better off take pity on the worst off? Shouldn’t the true believers celebrate rather than mourn his passing, especially since he was martyred and martyrs for certain go straight to the heaven?
Fvck Imam Hossein
by Keer to Koon Imam Hossein (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 12:56 PM PSTLong Live Yazeed who fvcked Imam Hossein in the ass. They should commemorate the Yazeed ady.
Re: Against Stupidity
by curious (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 11:59 AM PSTIf you don't mind, would you please specify the source of your statistics. I was wondering if it was based on a reliable poll, or you just made it up. Since you are against stupidity, I'm sure it's the former.
Denial
by Against Stupidity (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 10:49 AM PSTFirst of all, I don’t understand why we have to compare Iranian kids’ bad behavior to let’s say those American kids who carry guns. I guess most of us on this board agree that what those American kids do is wrong. Iranians should educate their kids properly regardless of what others do. Also, we should not use other religions as a baseline.
In addition, those people who are in denial and say nobody in Iran does these things, or these kinds of videos are fabricated, etc., I have news for you. When it comes to religious issues like Moharram ceremonies, Iranians are divided into the following groups. Until majority of people (you and I, our family members, neighbors, etc.) come to our senses and realize that there is nothing holly about these ceremonies and they are all made up stories, Iran will not get out of situation that has been for more than 1400 years.
5% are those who are against any religion and any ceremonies like this, including “Sineh Zani” “Gameh Zani”, etc.
20% are those who do not participate at all, but deep inside they believe some ceremonies are OK and some are not OK (like this kid’s behavior)
35% are those who participate once in while for many reasons, e.g. to show they care, to keep their parents happy, to keep their business profitable, to find a boy friend/girl friend, etc. But they are fanatic about their religion.
30% are those who are true believers and participate more than once in a while. They believe most ceremonies are OK, but are against ceremonies like “Gameh Zani”
Finally, the remaining 10% (maybe 5%) are those crazy ones that are OK with all of these and perhaps deep inside also believe in them too.
The song is more

by bitaraf (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 10:33 AM PSTIt's so sad that the opposition feels so desperate that they have to resort to such a pathetic and fake means for confronting the regime. My friends this is not the right way of fighting for your cause. Believe me, it will backfire and will further damage what you stand for.
a psychiatric case?
by Anonymousy (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 08:00 AM PSTThere are psychiatric cases in which people harm themselves to release stress, such as self-cutting, pulling of hair, or in severe cases banging against a hard object, among many other exmaples. I wonder if this child is having this kind of psychiatric problem. Perhaps he is doing it for attention, perhaps he can claim that he was beaten in the street. May be a bad family..... whatever the cause, it is disturbing.
probably a FORGED video
by disturbing video (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 07:40 AM PSTA disturbing video, and probably a forged one. The question is why mr. "aaaaaaaaa19" didn’t put the direct link from YouTube here. The kid looks like a highly disturbed kid in isolated room, and slapping on his face (unlike stupid fundamentalists that usually hit on their chest for the non-sense ceremony).
This probably has been a psychological evaluation of disturbing kids, and God knows what was the original melody; which is replaced with "aaaaaaaaa19" favorite song.
X-Bimokh!
by Ajam (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 07:22 AM PSTThis is the best example of a Sha'ban Bimokh in making. Since the Safavid era, the ruling classes in our country have heavily relied on lumpens -- though in different shapes and forms -- as pressure groups to quash social dissent and further their socio-political causes. Be it the Shah's Sha'ban Bimokh, or Khomeini's Teyyeb, lumpens and lumpenism have been institutionalized in our society.
We are an emotional nation who apparently can't seem to come to terms with its humiliated past. Hence open our wounds and renew our grievences once a year in the rituals that are breeding grounds and recruting fields for Lebas Shakhsi thugs, who in turn, beat us into further submission. That's a vicious cycle!!!
if you are telling the truth
by Anonymoussssssssss (not verified) on Sat Jan 19, 2008 01:29 AM PSTif you are telling the truth regarding wanting to help Iran, then why did you leave, that now you want to go back and fix Iran. You are such a losser lier.

Looks Like He's On Psychiatric Drugs
by Mehdi on Fri Jan 18, 2008 08:59 PM PSTViolence is a well known side effect of al psychiatric drugs. Maybe he is on ADHD medication (which is basically "speed" repackaged as a legal drug). Have you seen the movie Clockwork Orange?
That's why we are not there!
by Concerned Iranian (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 08:04 PM PSTThis sort of behavior is one of the reasons we left our country. Uninformed and uneducated (I mean mentally and culturally) people who think this is okay, have taken over and have run our country to the ground. What a shame! It is a nice country in the hands of sheerly confused idiots.

Fuck both hossein and Ali, and spit on the family who brought up a piece of sewage like you.
When your fucking IRI falls, we'll play chogaan with your corrupted gandideh heads.

This is not so atypical!
by Concerned Iranian (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 07:25 PM PSTMany Iranians (especially men) (maybe not many who are out of the coubtry now) have done similar (perhaps not as intense) things when they were kids. This is what the people who teach religion tell kids to do. These children are traumatized and then grow up to become trumatizers. They are confused. Not too unlike Irish Catholics who torment and torture themselves for life. Welcome to reality of these so-called religions!
Are we Iranian or Muslim ?
by FF (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 07:19 PM PSTCause we can not be both at the same time!
On one hand, we claim (even the bastard President of I.R.) that Cyrus the Great is the founding father of Persia/ Iran who created & implemented "The first declaration of human rights" which is probably one of the most normal, healthy & peaceful meassage on earth for Iranians & entire humanity on it... On the other hand, there are many people in Iran who believe in Hussein, Karbala desert masacre some 1400 years ago!!!!, Abolfazl & Emame Zaman!!!!!!! These Pyscho people are teaching the innocent childern like this one on the clip to engage into some pyschotic behavior that is extremly disturbing and inhuman!
Come on guys, Do we have to be so fucked up in IRAN?
I have been to some Arabic countries who are Sonni Muslim and they have NO MOHARAM, ASHOORA & TASOOAA and most importantly no Major Pyschotic events & Mourning celebration !!!!
We inharited the worst version of Islam, The SHIATE SHIT religion in IRAN and basically we are FUCKED until further notice....
I pray to GOD as an Iranian to grant us all with a little Wisdom & Consiousness, Especially the future young Iranians to get out of this Abyss and elvate their minds & souls to the higher above.... Amen
hell na..
by rasputin (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 05:30 PM PSTI grew up in Iran and saw a lot of this crap. When moharam would come around, yeah I would go out but not to perform a self beating, but to check out the girls, and watch idiots like this beat themselves up.
Sorry to tell you, but that's how you brainwash the nation from the young age. I realized it when I came to US at the age of 20. I found out that you have step outside the box to see what kind of disaster Iran is. Sad...very sad.
You are mistaking this behavior for religion..
by energy (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 02:31 PM PSTThis is just a kid burning energy. I do not believe he full understand love or religion. He is just responding to the culture that he is exposed to. I would say he would and could have been a good football player or musician or so on if his society would have produced him the means to achieve those goals.
He will grow out of it unless the financial benefits starts rolling in before he understands love or religion.
Bassiji in training
by Iva (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 02:00 PM PSTThese kids are being taught the Qoranic language of disrespect, violence and pain. First, they kill kids' self respect by forcing them to beat and in some cases cut themselves (i.e. getting used to seeing blood) and they equate that with LOVE. And once these kids learn that they can exert pain on themselves, their conscious and respect for others dies within resulting in group of people who do not hesitate for a moment to stone to death or string up a human being for smallest infringement.
Khejalat daareh!
by PersianGirl (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 01:46 PM PSTThis kid's just another example why women should take over running this pathetically paternalistic nation. Get over it, guys; It happened centuries ago, a bunch of power hungry men butchered each other and their families in the desert...Khoda Biamorzeh, boo hoo, etc.
