If you decide to forgive me
I will make it easy for you
I will tell you, how for so long
I was trapped in my soul.

And how I was lost
In the confusion of exile that
I could not hold those weary
moments, calm and clear.

If you decide to forgive me
for not being there by you
side by side, day by day,
let me tell you about the time
I was lost facing a strange direction.

Can I forgive you for being absent,
In those very hard days that I needed
caressing hands, and a loving soul?
