Grown Up Little Brats

Where have all the little jerks who were trouble and bullies and caused pain on other kids at school gone?  Well, unfortunately these guys are still around.  Just look around and you will see them everywhere.  No more little, they have grown up into big jerks with white hair and even white eyebrows. The wrinkles on their faces and brows can mislead one into believing that life and living have taught these brats of yesterday some wisdom and tolerance and patience.  But don't let their pseudo-wise looks fool you.  Underneath they are still angry little spoiled rascals that you knew back then.  They still try to draw you in with their snake-like charm and then, when you are not looking or least expect it, they stick it to you with all the force that they can muster, making sure that they inflict the maximum physical and or emotional pain possible.  The brats and bullies live on.  I have known a few and I am sure you have too.

ex programmer, you saying you were...

by Ostaad on

"kinda smart" is like Madonna saying, I was kinda virgin. I'm sure it's true in your both cases, but I bet it was way back when and very short lived.

You have not showed any vistiges of your imaginary by-gone smartness since I have had the misfortune of stumbling on your brainfarts.

There's a law against false advertising, bro. Look it up.

That is a Bullying Philosophy in and of itself, no matter how you try to deny it.

Are you trying to claim Jesus was a bully? Seriously? :o

You seem to be the one with the aggressive mentality. I however, do not.

That's an example of an aggressive statement. Just saying :p

I seem to recall a comment you made to me a couple weeks ago in which I painstakingly went through it and pointed out all the ad hominem attacks it contained *shrug*

awwww  why so bitter!   do you find me intimidating because I asked what you were talking about?

Self-confidence is a very attractive trait for a man as long as it doesn't turn into a bullying attitude and pre-emptive attacks. Who'd want the ones who are easily intimidated anyway!  ;-)

Is it hot in here or is it just me??

iI'm truly sorry you have a problem with that. I don't. I understood the meaning of "those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" long before I'd ever read the words.s it just me or is everyone feeling the heat?

That is a Bullying Philosophy in and of itself, no matter how you try to deny it.

and so...

by ex programmer craig on

The bullying in the anti-bully post continues! I'm even drawing fire for my militant anti-bully attitude when I was a child!

"Bush doctorine" at school?  Seriously! Are you proud of that?

Well, thank you very much for asking! Actually, I am. You see, I was always put in the classes with the smart kids (because I'm kinda smart... or I used to be, anyway) even though I don't have the same type of personality as the typical "smart kid". I saved a lot of those kids from a lot of misery because the bullies wouldn't come anywhere near me, which means the whole class got left alone.

I'm truly sorry you have a problem with that. I don't. I understood the meaning of "those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" long before I'd ever read the words.

LOL. yes I do. I mind very much. Nice try though:)

"rest of the class"? well, I am sorry teach. Did not mean to undermine your authority. You know the one that forces you to come up here and "look at things" making sure to hold things down nice and neatly.

Excited? As if there was anything to get excited about to begin with.

I like your "law enforcing" attitude. I am sure so many men find it so... attractive:)

Perhaps you should call it subjective relation between Bullying in Hammaam Zanaaneh and the story of Ghamar Khanoum! :o)

Like I said in my first comment on this blog, I'm not aware of the history between the individuals. Nor do I think 'personal history' should be dragged from blog to blog (and that holds for everyone in my opinion). I'm just going by what I see here and saying it like I see it. Stirring the pot is stirring the pot and doesn't absolve the pot bearer nor the retaliatory pot stirrer. I'm sure some will disagree with that, but hey, it's not the first time and it certainly won't be the last.

KouroshS:This is what I have to say to those who'throw punches' here: (and in my opinion ID is not)

'Sometimes your words are thick as lead,
You swing them strong upside my head.
But what hasn't killed has made me strong,
So i'll take my scars and move along. '

Would you mind clarifying your statement and sharing your findings with the rest of the class?  it's not nice to get this excited all by yourself!  besides, sharing is caring ;-)

Let's call this blog the "power Blog" shall we?

I have seen people say things to each other i have never seen inany other blogs... ANYWHERE. True friends coming out baking up their friends, Old pals sticking up for each other. BN. i think you have helped bringing in the best out of us!!!

I nominate BN as the iranian of the Year:)

HollyUSA

Hang in there girl. These are just pracitce punches being thrown at ya. :))

You are right, stirring the pot is not the best way to go. Most of the times it backfires and the innocent person gets blamed unfairly just for not chosing their words in the most politically correct way, despite the pages and pages of personal insults they have endured.

No you are absolutely right. I didn't pick my words carefully. I meant to convey that I think it would have been mature and unbrat-like if he could refrain from stirring the pot in any shape or form.

Are you saying it would have been ok if BN had written:

I am just hoping that someone will also take that blog as a personal attack on her and we will have another wopper! :-)

That would have sounded condescending and more of a taneh-kenayeh, wouldn't it?

Ebi jan

It's good to go back and take another look at the events to put things in perspective, that's all I tried to do :o)

Ostaad

Souri, you sound to be well-rested...

by Ostaad on

and sound much more reasonable and, I know I'm stretching it a bit but then what the hell, a bit more personable!

Just to set the record, please go back and read your post from yesterday. I'm sure you'll realize that your post was and still is the first belligerent and obnoxious post in the entire blog in spite of your lame excuse that you were responding to some "attack" by Bajenagh that had happened who knows when.

I won't hazard a guess what your problem(s) are, but you need to get a hold of yourself by taking two chill pills every morning before reading the blogs.

Your frequent gracious replies to the xp programmer, the one who "hears" from "everyone in the US" on regular basis, are clear signs that you and ex programmer have more in common that just thoughts about bullying. He is a Vet with a very special case, and I'm sure you know that by now.

I didn't say he started off that way. I quoted his last comment which amounts to nothing but a deliberate perpetuation of the 'problem'...the very same one he started off the blog with, namely acting like a grown up brat. Had he continued to refrain from naming names, I would have no reason to make the comment. Fair?

IRANdokht

Dear HollyUSA

by IRANdokht on

Please go back and read the first comments. BN was not specific about anyone in particular and the blog did not start out on a controversial note. You said it yourself that you saw some mundane comments (paraphrasing) and were surprised to see all the arguments.  Someone writes a few words and it gets more than 90 heated comments only based on a misunderstanding. Why would you call him a grown up brat?
