Ahmadinejad's 'ILLEGITIMACY' Can Not Be Pushed Under The Rug
by Humility

My Iranian Brothers and Sisters: The events that have taken place in our Beloved Homeland in the past couple of weeks, are indicative of only one thing: This regime in Iran will resort to any level of brutality to suppress our Brothers and Sisters, and maintain its power.

Many of us were hoping that a General Strike would take place throughout the nation, and bring the regime to its knees. Unfortunately, that hasn't taken place yet.

As we watch the TV, and the various videos on the Internet, it is obvious that the regime is desperate. For them to try and link the murder of Neda Agha Soltan to some foreign conspiracy, is the epitome of foolishness! This is not that different from the ridiculuous results of the elections a couple of weeks ago!

What I would like all of us to do is to maintain the pressure: If you are a Poet, please keep writing poetry to encourage others. If you are good at writing prose, please continue writing your narratives to let everyone know what's going on. Similarly, if you are an Artist, please do the same ... And, on and on.

In Closing, I would Like To Say This: This Is Singularly The Most Wonderful Thing That Has Happened In Our Beloved Iran In The Past Thirty Years! The Dangerous Task To Bring Down This Regime Is Being Done By Our Brothers And Sisters In Iran Who Have To Do It At The Point Of A Gun ... Our Task Is Really Simple Here: To Give Them Moral Support, Financial Support, Etc., And To Continue Letting The World Know What's Going On In Our Beloved Iran ...

Remember, Our Goal Is Ultimately A Secular Democracy In Iran, With A Complete And Total Separation Of Government And Religion ... Nothing More, And Nothing Less!

Thank You ...

Last Emam

by mohamad vaezi (not verified) on

Keep on blaming everything in the world on the Zionists and Americans. Americans toppled MOssadegh !! yes, they did, by spending only $1 mil :-) but Americans are not to be blamed, it was WE , the Iranians, who stood silence and let few thugs topple Mossadegh.

As to your last Emam, wake up. We are in the 21th century. You have been brain washed for too long.

Dear BADRALSADAT

by Humility on

I have read your comment, but I have to say, that unfortunately, much of it deserves no answer!

Regarding your anticipation of the Imam coming back, I have to respectfully tell you to keep Dreaming On!

The possibility of your Imam coming back is just as much as Ayatollah Khamenei (Your Leader) turning into an 18-year old Virgin! - How about that :)

Have a great day :) - !

THE REGIME WILL STAY UNTIL THE LAST EMAM COMES

by BADRALSADAT (not verified) on

THIS IS A RESPOND TO THE PERSON WHO IS SO AFRAID TO GIVE HIS OR HER REAL NAME. WELL HE CALLED HIMSELF, HUMILITY.

DEAR HUMILITY

IF VOTING OF 85% OF THE PEOPLE IS ILLEGITIMATE THEN OF COURSE VOTING FOR BUSH WITH LESS THAN 35% IS LEGITIMATE. IN REGARD OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN AND YOUR WISH THAT THEY WILL BE REPLACED BY A SECULAR GOVERNMENT I AM SORRY TO TELL YOU THAT THE REGIME WILL STAY UNTIL THE LAST EMAM COMES AND SEND YOU AND YOUR ZIONIST SUPPORTERS TO THE HELL AND MAKE THE PALESTINIANS FREE FROM ZIONISTS.

AMIN ENSHALAH.

IRANIANS ARE VERY BRIGHT. MANY OF THEM STILL REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED WHEN DR. MOHAMMAD MOSADEGH A PPUPOLAR PRIME MINISTER WAS TOPPLED BY SOME TROUBLE MAKERS AND PAID THUGS BY CIA IN 1953. THEY KNOW WHO IS THEIR ENEMY. UNFORTUNATELY SOMETIMES ENEMY PICKS UP IRANIAN FLAG AND HAS IRANIAN NATIONALITY BUT PEOPLE WILL RECOGNIZE THEM TOO.

Islamists' Double Standard

by Anonymoussssss (not verified) on

When Gazans fire rockts into Israel it's justified by the Islmaist crowd on this site because it's a sign of frustration, occupation, hopelessness blah, blah, blah...but when young Iranians demonstrate in the streets (even if violent--which they were NOT), they are hooligans, trouble makers and thugs and should immediately end their protests and rely on a totally rigged and ironically named "Islamic Republic Judicial System". What a bunch of hypocrites.

As the movement progresses, more and more of the leaders would present themselves.

As I have previously said, Things are Extremely Fluid Now ... Just Have Some Patience!

Tks :)

Dear Humility,

Suppose as you are praying "this movement" comes to fruition. Also suppose contrary to what I have "pondered"  this movement does not have foreign roots. Here is the question for you:

Who is the leader of this movement, and who is going to replace the regime? Don't tell me that "democracies don't have leaders". They do. As I have pondered, we have a lot of "Shaboon Bimokhs", but very few -- to be real, ZERO (zilch) --  as far as Mosadegh's go.

Thanks

I have read your comment, and your cynicism is very apparent.

My hopes and prayers are that this movement would come to its full fruition, and that all of us, myself, and all other freedom loving people, could go back to our Beloved Iran.

As I have indicated previously, this is very much in the realm of the possible. We have to support our Brothers and Sisters in Iran in whatever capacity that we are able to. Again, as I have said before, this is a Unique Opportunity! Let's not squander it ..

Tks again :) - !

As the proverbial saying goes: The Genie Is Indeed Out Of The Box In Iran!

The people have come to the realization that they have to confront this regime Head-On ... Let's help them as much as we can - This is very much a worthwhile cause!

Thanks :)

North Tehrani's Throwing A Tantrum

by Ramtin (not verified) on

With their spacious apartments, expensive western cars, routine trips abroad, and government all-expenses-paid-for scholorships to prestigious universities like Tehran U, Sharif, Amir Kabir, etc.. They think they are the boss of Iran and because their beloved "Mousavi" right hand man of Khomeini and architect of the Islamic Republic Of Iran of today, didn't get elected for the most obvious of reasons, they can cry and stamp their feet and set fire to this and that and assault police and then cry "human rights" when they get clubbed over their heads for acting like complete buffoons!

Sure there have also been minor "protests" (read:hooliganism) in other cities, but no doubt its more monkey see monkey do, general copycat protests, and the usual summer time bache bazi that Iranians like to engage in over there.

This whole "Green movement" baloney has really taken off too.. haha.. those Brits sure did think this one through.

Here's some bedtime reading for ya'll:
//www.stratfor.com/weekly/20090622_iranian_el...
(No that's not a "leftist" IRI sympathizer website.. infact I was suprised to see a piece like that on there) Even the neocons can see this one clearly! Why can't you!??

Enjoy!

2009 Shaboon Bimokhs Failed

by wgm1919 on

Dear Humility

I respectfully disagree with you as well. Not that I am fan of any particular candidate, in fact I would have preferred Rezai, but prior to elections, all polls, including those conducted from "third countries" (outside of Iran) by various "American think tanks" showed Ahmadinejad far ahead of mousavi, Karoubi, or Rezai.

My theory is that the riots would have happened whether Ahmadinejad won or lost. In fact if he had lost, those same "freedom loving demonstrators" would kill, burn and destroy as if they were Ahmadinejad's supporters! I think this whole situation was created by the outsiders to damage Iran's credibility and stance in the world. Who wishes for that to happen, you ask? I say on the top of the list we have Zio-Nazis due to rants of Ahmadinejad against them (World Without Zionism Conference, etc.) and their traditional annomosity toward Iranians. However, I think  the plan was a triangle of Zio-Nazis, Brits and Americans. I am sure more will come out in due time. This is not to say that Akhonds are the best option for iran -- they are not and far from it. But, and here is a VERY important BUT:  the so called "opposition" whether inside or outside of Iran are even worst than Akhonds. We deserve better and VERY UNFORTUNATELY we don't have those leaders.

Thanks...

Balanced and Insightful Article

by Jahanshah Rashidian on

Thanks for the balanced and insightful article. As described, a fervently expected freedom-Movement is born in Iran and sooner or later will sweep away the whole mediaeval  IRI in the favour of a democratic, modern, and secular regime.

Humility

Dear wgm1919

by Humility on

After reading your comment, I have to say that I respectfully disagree with you.

Any reasonable person who has watched the demonstrations throughout Iran, not just in Tehran, would conclude that it was very much from the grass-roots of the Iranian Society: From The Students, To The Middle Aged Citizens, To The Professionals, To The Women, Etc., Etc.

As you may have watched the videos, the crowds were getting larger and larger every day. The initial call was for Moussavi to get People's Votes back. However, as days went by, the chanting was directed more towards Freedom, and Civil Liberties.

As I have previously mentioned in blogs referenced above, this movement started with a Vote Fraud Issue, but soon thereafter transcended that. The People In Iran Are Sick  And Tired Of This Theocracy, And Would Like A Secular Democracy, With Complete Freedom And Civil Liberties For All .. Like Almost All Other Civilized World! Again, Nothing More, And Nothing Less ...

Tks :) - !

2009 Bristish Sponosred Coup in Iran Did Not Succeed ....

by wgm1919 on

As we say it in Iran, " when you lift the bat, the cat who ate the meat is going to run away". (choob ro boland kon, gorbeh dozdeh farar mikoneh).

If the Brits were not involved through their embassy in Tehran in creating the riots after the elections, why are they so desparate about their "Iranian staff" who are being questioned by the ministry of information? Obvioulsy they are worried. History has shown that the Brits and their CIA stooges have always been active in creating disturbances not just in Iran, but many other countires were they don't like the government. This time, they succeeded in creating the riots, but not in their coup. This would have been similar to the coup in 1953. Except that this time it did not succeed.

Kianoosh Assa

by kianooshq (not verified) on

This is Kianoosh Assa, gunned down in Azadi Sq. on Monday 15th June.
He was a chemical engineering undergraduate at Tehran Science and Technology university.

Despite all intimidations, his student colleagues held an impressive memorial for him. They even brought down Ahamdinejad's picture and replaced it with Kianoosh's picture.

Raising funds to help

by moo (not verified) on

Raising funds to help Iranians get online. The global online activism group Avaaz.org, which was co-founded by MoveOn.org, is holding a fundraiser:

One small donation of $15 can fund enough bandwidth for Iranians to send hundreds of secure emails. If 5,000 or more of us can donate, we can scale up these services massively -- with more servers, bandwidth and advanced technical support. The next two weeks will be crucial -- donate now to break the blackout.
More information here.

There are times in one's life, that one realizes that there are causes much greater than oneself ... This is one of those times!

I honestly never thought that in my life time, that we would have the wonderful opportunity of getting rid of these Mullahs, and establishing a Secular Democracy in our Beloved Iran. But I have to say that I can Feel It ... I can Taste It ... It's very much in the realm of the Possible!

Let's Hope And Pray To God That It Would Come Sooner Than Later .. This Is A Wonderful Opportunity That Should Not Be Squandered!

Thanks for your comment :)

Dear Ali

by Humility on

Please have no doubt that this election was completely and totally rigged!

From the fact that the results were given within two (2) hours following the closing of the ballot boxes, to the consistency of the results at 62% for Ahmadinejad, which is statistically impossible, to the fact that Moussavi lost even in his hometown, and on and on ...

What I am trying to say is this: This Bunch Were So Desperate To Rig The Election That They Even Didn't Try to Make It Look Semi-Legitimate ... All They Wanted To Do Was To Avoid A Run-Off!

As Iranians, we should all try to participate in whatever capacity that we can, to confront this garbage and nonsense! The Mullahs Have Hammered The First Nail In Their Own Coffins By Rigging This Election This Way! We Just Have To Continue Hammering The Remaining Nails!

Tks for your comment :) - !

Novel idea

by Ali P. on

I really do not know if Ahmadinejad won the IRI election or not, or under the IRI laws, he is the legitimate President or not, but I just read a very interesting suggestion, by an Iranian reader in Aftab-Yazd newspaper. How about that?
