One more today

One more today

And sometimes we sit
thinking as others shuffle in
order coffee
chat about the election
and shuffle out

and sometimes we sit
just to get out and feel
somewhat un-alone
or alone in a better way
with others milling around

almost as if invisible with
tall coffee and book
listening to sounds
strange human cries
stumbling beats, slurping organs
and orders of frappuccinos

one more today and then
again, tomorrow
doors unlock and shuffling begins
anew

wasup with coffee and music

oh, ya coffee drinking and ipod music are considered social revolutions for computer geeks. I've seen "Nazanin" the cute "iranian canadian politician singer" at Barnes& Nobles. I had my coffee mug while listening to her. I was hungry and my stomach was marching on all kinds of sounds (caused by acid in coffee). It was loud enough that I was more of the center of attentions than "Nazanin"..hehehehehe.

Jeesh Daram

hey Sara!

I liked it and felt it. Your poetry reminds me of Suzanne Vega's singing, that kind of feeling....
