The real artist
by LostIdentity (not verified) on Tue Feb 05, 2008 08:25 PM PSTNamjoo is by far my ideal singer. His music has depth, goes well with the lyrics he picks and resonates with hearts. Isn't that what a real art should be for?

Question for JJ:

You mentioned that he was a friend and colleague of yours. Do you have any fond memory of him? How do you describe him?
"Yahya"
by Anonymous-Good morning (not verified) on Tue Feb 05, 2008 04:49 AM PSTThanks for your descriptive paragraph. This performance of Namjoo is very good. While I was listening to it yesterday, I was thinking about the "Original Performers" specifically "Albar Gopa" with his beautiful voice, and one of his master performance "Gole hastiam ra bechieno boro..." which brings tears to the eyes in such a special occasion...
beautiful rendering of an old song
by Yahya (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 10:01 PM PSTThank you for this wonderful piece...
This is a creative rendering by Mohsen Namjoo of an old song originally performed in the yaer 1347 (Shamsi Calendar) by Kooros Sarhangzadeh.
The lyrics are by the master Iranian lyricist, the late Moeeni Kermanshahi. The song is composed in Naghmeyeh Esfahan. It was originally part of the soundtrack of the movie "Layli va Majnoon."
Namjoo has creatively mixed in part of the song by the wonderful Akbar Golpa at the end (Gole hastiam ra bechieno boro...)
Beautiful job by Namjoo here who is truly talented and original in his works....

by arash s (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 08:44 PM PSTBourghani was one of the very few true reformists.
A big loss for all Iranians, there are very few brave, honest and free souls left in the Iranian political scene. A great song for a great "cherik".

A true Reformist
by Ali (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 06:39 PM PSTToo bad we only honor people when they die.
When they are alive we stick all kinds of labels to them and accuse them of all kinds of things, if only their political views differ from ours.
