I hear the footsteps of spring
Inside me
Life is chasing around
Like a squirrel
Spring is here again
Rainy days have given way
To blue skies and white fluffy clouds
The birds have returned from the south
They are happily singing the songs of spring
The songs of renewal and hope
Spring is like young people
It is not thinking of winter or fall
It is thinking of life, here and now
So don’t be sad or angry
Instead be forgiving and kind
Not only for their sake
The ones who may have hurt you
But also for your own
Let the spring into your heart
And make it light and joyful
Look at the spring flowers
Yellow, white, blue and red
They shine so bright, like oriental gems
Look at the new shoots,
The buds, blooms and blossoms
The perennials, pompons, and posies
The unfolding of nature
Everything is thriving and flourishing
They are suggesting hope and optimism
Their message is cheerful anticipation
So open your doors and the windows
Let the spring come into your house
Smile at your fellow human being
And the world will smile at you too
Happiness is often about how you choose to see things
And what is in your heart
