I think you have hit the nail on the head by asking such very appropriate and important question and deserve a honest and prompt answer.
The “Mahastim” movement is being founded by ordinary Iranians like me.

We donate what ever we can from one dollar in the case of not so wealthy people like me, to ten thousand dollars from the very well of members like “Kermaanshahi”, ”Zarnegaar” or “Balooch”

If you type “www.ch1.cc” to in your browser address bar, you can go to the site and ask for and see all the expenses and donations that have been made to this movement both from Iran and from outside. You can also see a list of all the expenses and how this money is being spent

I also must tell you that I am by nature a very sceptical person. So I have spent a long time to study many individuals and groups who claimed to be anti IRI or having a solution in terms of getting us out of this mess. I studied them in terms of honesty, practicality, compatibility and background. I studied their words, their manifest the and attitudes of their leaders and members especially towards those with whom they are in disagreement. I also investigated their track record as a political group and their role in the disaster of 1979 or their willingness to accept responsibility for that blonder.

So far the Mahastim movement is the only group that have got all the boxes ticked from me

However I believe that every body needs to do their own investigation and come to that belief by themselves. That is why you also need to do your own investigation and then decide for yourself if this is the appropriate movement for you to join or not.
So my recommendation to you is to go to the above site and for a few days listen to the points of view of different speakers. Also it would be very good to go to different “Mahastim” sites and read the points of views of the members and furthermore conduct a thorough investigation of their financial resources.

After all that, if you came to the conclusion that this is a genuine movement by the Iranian people and for the Iranian people. You are very welcome to join us or otherwise you can always comeback to this site and tell me and the rest of the world why you did not think that this is a good move

The world has had enough lip service to human rights and...

democracy from various US president including the phony and his neo-con(artists) and tricksters who just left the WH. Obama will help the causes of democracy and human rights more effectively by bringing economic stability to the world markets and peace to the ME. 

There's nothing in his policies that indicate to me that he has abandoned the causes of REAL human rights and democracy yet. I, for one, am not ready to pass judgment on Obama so soon on those issues.

You'r right on the money

Dear Mr Bagher Zadeh

Before anything I would like to congratulate you on your honest, realistic and in depth analysis of the situation.

Just like you I believe that considering its track records The West in general and United States in particular they are the last institutions qualified to talk about or claim to be the champion of human right around the world.
The bottom line is that for many years the issue of human right and democracy was noting but a tool in the Western government’s arsenal to pin the third world dictators under their tombs. However the fact was that they never gave a damn about the people of those countries or their rights. If we stand back for a moment think about it realistically we can see people like Obama or other Western leaders have took a public oath in front of the world in general and their own people in particular to protect and preserve their own national interest, and it is very unrealistic for us to expect them to put our interest and rights before the interests of their own country and people.

However like you I regard the approach of Mr Obama and his honesty as a breath of fresh air. At list he is honest enough to hang the dagger on the top and show his true intension. Unlike his predecessors who helped IRI indirectly by empty slogan. Or giving Iranian opposition false hope and stopping them from charting their own future by taking actions of their own. At least now people of Iran and other third world countries know where they stand with regards him and his policies.

I believe it is about the height time for our people to weak up and take their destiny in they own hand. This is especially important at present time, as the current period and politival climate has provided the most crutial time of all in the past thirty years. This is for no other reason than the new movement that has mobilized our youth against the evil that is IRI.

This movement is no other than the movement of MA HASTIM, a totally Iranian movement with no dependency to foreign influence or Western money.

Every Iranian inside and out of Iran has an obligation to grasp this opportunity and by assisting this movement take a step toward national awakening and democratic movement.

The time for pointless discussions, endless debates and out of date theories is now over. People of Iran and especially young generation are not any more interested in the old blame game of passing the buck that has been played by out of date, fossilized political groups for the past 30 years. Groups whose collective mistakes have brought us here and yet none of them have grown up enough to acknowledge their mistakes. Today is the time for action, the time for charting a root out of the mess that we are in. This movement has already begun and is now in full swing. You as and individual and the rest of us as a nation could either stand by, and let this opportunity to pass us by, just like all other opportunities in the past thirty years or we can participate and be counted for and once and for all take our destiny in our own hands

This movement does not belong to any particular group, ideology or political and religious orientation and yet it belongs to all of them who want to participate and be counted for. From student movement to the labour unions, from the movement for liberation of Iranian women, to different democracy movements on left right and centre, they are all welcome. All we ask from those who want to join us is to be loyal to Iran and our national identity and sovereignty of our borders and no dependency to foreign help and influence of any kind. They just need to believe that Iran could and should only be saved by Iranians and in Iran of future there is room for all political religious and ethnic backgrounds. As long as they recognize the right of others to exist, we would also respect their rights to exist, participate and even to disagree with us. We recognize that democracy is a collective action and should be built from bottom up. We believe that the only guarantee for democracy in Iran is the actions and awareness of Iranian people. We believe that our national wealth should be spent in our own country and should be invested in future of our children, in rebuilding our cities, reviving our industry and factories and in restoring our country’s agriculture and infrastructure, not in Gaza, Dubai, Syria, Canada or Venezuela

Now, each and every one of us can ba a part of this movement and help it to achieve its goal. However small and insignificant you might think that help is, it’s still important to us.as the old saying

If we do not want for foreign powers to control our destiny and force another dictator down our throat for another 30 years, then we should all participate and let our voice be heard. This could be financial participation by helping the movement and making sure that it is only financed by us and hence only accountable to us the Iranian people instead of another foreign government. Also this help could be in the form of participating in protests and writing our messages and slogans on all the city walls around Iran, in the blogs or even in form of communicating with world media and bringing this movement into the attention of the rest of the world. By letting the world to know that IRI is not and has never been the representative of Iranian people. it have never had our interest in its mind, but they are just foreign occupiers with obligations elsewhere who never gave a damn about this country or its people.

Well, now you know! Right now is the time to make that choice and be counted for it. At least now if you choose to let this opportunity to pass you by, you can never claim that you did not know,especially when your children hold you to account and ask you why, just as today’s generation are asking the generation of revolution WHY!
