How about next week they interview some chaps from Gitmo?

by ABCDE (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 10:48 PM PDTGol-dust is right(!!!)... apparently this guy Omid Reza who was tortured and killed in Evin, was cleared that he was not killed but committed a suicide to distort the sacred nature of Estebdade Velayate Motlaghye faghih. These are all conspiracies to ruin the face of our sacred Dictator Khamenei but his Zahhak majesty and his beloved savage tribe hopefully will break the bones of all free spirit humans there to leave a lesson for Imperialism.
His majesty wisely has also named this year SALE SARFEJUYI as he knows better than any one else how he fucked up 270 billion dollars of Iran in three years to leave a record of blowing the resources of a nature and the same time left a 2 billion dollar signature in Syria out of Iranians; pocket to construct a nuclear power plant for Syrians!
I wish we had more dayi jan Napelon.
God bless to all jerks coming here to write carps to insult Iran and Iranians. Shame on you guys.
Leave it to Iranians...
by iroooni (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 10:14 PM PDTto connect CBS, US, Israel into a big conspiracy. I am not saying thing like this has not happened. But, if a war does not happen in the next 12 months, can someone in this discussion rememeber to come back and say that the interview was indeed just what it seemed to be on the surface?

AIPAC'S propeganda to prevent US ties with Iran! Damn israel!
by gol-dust on Sat Apr 04, 2009 09:22 PM PDTAIPAC is very nervous about establishing any kind of productive relationship between US and Iran! This is part of that game! They want Israel to be the dominant force in the region!
Let's remember that 60 minutes is an AIPAC entity! CBS & 60 minutes producer are well known zionist! Anderson is only being used as well as the Iranian guy. It reminds me of the programs on 60 minutes before the first Persian Gulf war and Iraq war where they interviewd Iraqis who were tortured under Saddam; therfore, justifying the wars! After the war it was revealed that many of those people were actually under US protection and care.
Remember the Iraqi Nuclear scientis who was all over the TV? it was revealed after that he really was not a scientist with access to the sensetive information and he had left Iraq 7 years before the war and was working the State dept..
I don't know much about this man and I do not question his motives. How could I really know, except using my own judgement which would not be fair! But I know about US, Israel, IRI, ADL, JDL, AIPAC etc.. Why is US all of a sudden interested in this "hero?" It certainly is not because they care about the Iranians. If they were they wouldn't have so many sanctions against Iran and pushed for the Iran-Iraq war among other wars!
This guy is beign used, whether he knows it or not, to achieve the satanic intentions of Israel and US! Anderson is used as an interviewer to give more credibility to the story. I am not going to be duped with this kind of PR anymore! Are we really that naive to believe all these junk?
We know Iran tortures and kills! I hate the Iranian government and I know it is a criminal government, but US and Israel are no angels! When was the last time Iran invaded any country? 250 years ago! But US has been invading other countries before I was born and will continue for years to come!
I know many people who were prisoned and tortured by regime, but they never considered going on an American TV to talk against the Iranian regime in favor of the US and Israel, which is about to attack Iran.
I have no respect for this guy since he talks to the Israeli (US) media (like MEK did) against Iran! Israelis and American would have treated him as a traitor if he was one of them! We are very forging people!
We said all this without even watching the show?
kind of sad , when I read
by aliali (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 08:51 PM PDTkind of sad , when I read all you guy's comments . Iranian never get along , we have not watched his interview yet , and everyone here is making an argument.
since Iranian always respect dead people , so if he was killed in Iran , everyone here will say " what the nice guy he was ",
in our mind " good Iranian politician is the dead one , the life one will get hammered by Islamists , shahi , leftist and rightist "
there is a hope and a good news for our enemies ,and it is " WE NEVER BE UNITED "
more excuses to attack Iran!

Mr. Batebi's interview
by OH (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 01:12 PM PDTI am not only sadden for this gentleman, but also for all of our beloved countrymen who have gone through unbelievable atrocities in order to achieve true freedom and I am not only talking about the current regim, but also the previuose one. However, it is blatantly obviouse as to why this sudden interest of human rights in Iran has become an everyday issue. Do not get me wrong. I am completely aware of the fact that voices of decent can not be heard in Iran, but the truth of the matter is that western governments' agenda is not human rights. I am amazed that my extremely intelligent fellow Iranians are falling for this trap. This is the same treatment that Shah got before he was overthrown and also Saddam Hussain ( I am not comparing these two men. I have no respect for Saddam), who lets not forget that was a very good friend (poppet) of these so called democratic nations while he was massacring Iranians and his own people. If you remember we saw many images as such about his brutality on mass media. What people seem to have forgotten is the simple fact that Saddam did not become a dictator in the last years of his life, he was one from day one and the west knew about it. As a matter of fact they made him the monster he was.So suddenly the Iraqi people and the world needed to be free from this ARAB and MUSLIM menace. The next logical step was bombing them. I do not know about you, but I have to say this whole thing stinks. Now, the same scenario is happening again. They (Iran and the world)need our help, so lets bomb them to Democracy. This comes from gevernments that for so many years have dehumanized us to nothing but IRANIAN MUSLIM TERRORISTS.
My question is for how long are we going to allow traders among us and foreign nations decide our path.Lets not forget who we are and where we have come from. Just take a look at our achievements and contributions throughout the world. Let us decide our own path. No one has our interest at heart but us. I know many of us or perhaps all of us have been hurt one way or the other, but this is not the time to be devisive, this is the time to be united so once and for all Iranians(of all BACKGROUNDS)can bring true freedom to their own nation, and hopefully people like Mr. batebi (a political prisoner)would become a thing of past. Zendeh bad Irane azad and all those who love it. Peace to the world.

by Yashar Tabriz (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 01:10 PM PDTcould you elaborate please. I was wondering why he was released in the first place! what if he's really working for I.R. with a mission. what mission can that be?

by Yashar Tabriz (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 01:05 PM PDTdon't get too emotional man! remember the bag of lies the US administration presented before they invaded Iraq. America is doing it again. my heart goes out to this guy, he was tortured and kicked, but if he really loved his country, he wouldn't allow himself to be used as pre-war propaganda against your beloved Iran, we all love iran, but we also reckon Americ's bad intentions towards muslims and Iran. pick you evil, I.R. of retards or U.S. of Israel.
Batebi's mission
by بت شکن on Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:59 PM PDTAs I had written at the time of Batebi's arrival in the States, he is released for a reason. As time goes by the nature of his mission becomes clearer, that is clearer to us otherwise it was clear to his former tormentors and (tacitly) to himself right from the word go: to deepen the rift among the opposition.
Congratulations to the Ministry of Information: mission is getting closer to "accomplished" state.
This type of torture happens every where, specialy US
by Yashar Tabriz (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:58 PM PDTOK he was tortured, i believe every thing he says. that is too bad! but which country has clean hands when it comes to torture and human rights. certainly not the United State. Yes, we like more human rights in Iran, Yes we want more democracy, But it is non of America's business. America has too much blood on their hand and can not be trusted. and voice of America (VOA) is a lying propaganda machine much worst than Iran's propaganda machine.
Golbaba--Well groomed!
by sam. (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:23 PM PDTWhat the hell does grooming have to do with what he's saying?
Can you not be tortured and after a few years come back as a human being??!
Do you have to look like garbage and deformed to claim you were tortured??
Next thing you are going to say is why the hell is he so tall? -- how can he have been tortured and still remain tall?!!
He was a young student when imprisoned and it has been some time since he left Iran.

by verytass on Sat Apr 04, 2009 10:38 AM PDTAnderson, you were duped, buddy!
This guys was tortured and then escape to come to US and tell all about it?
I have no doubt that IRI does torture people, but you got to verify your sources and not interview just anyone who is preselected by higher powers ;)
BTW, love to see interview of touted people by the Chinese government both Chinese and Tibetan.
But, if you really want to do breaking news, let's see how many people are tortured by the EEzraeleez and the people who were used for their biological weapons test. How do you think they are able to create bio poisons for their criminal acts and create fully working antidotes without human testing.

Well-Groomed
by Golbaba (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 08:22 AM PDTAfter all the horrendous torture, cable beating etc. this guy looks so healthy, wealthy and well-fed. How long I wonder does it take to manicure one's beard in such precise lines like that? I guess in the solitude of prison, having nothing better to do, he honed the skill of beard trimming and growing pony tail. He has been surely 'well groomed'!
Vichy government = French patriots!!!
by Hajminator on Sat Apr 04, 2009 07:54 AM PDTIt’s true that when you see people backing the Fascist regime in Israel and yaboos who are labelled as war criminals by the western media, you’re a bit surprised how blind people could be.
There aren’t any parallel between the government of Vichy and French patriots. It wasn’t under patriotism that Laval sent french Jews to the gas chambers. Laval and Petin were the puppets of Hitler, making them criminals as much as Nazis.
French patriots were people who resisted Nazism and who were labelled by Fred-like Nazis people as terrorists, criminals and leftists. You want references to see how much you look like those who you pretend to fight?
Fred: why do you never denounce Uncle Sam's crimes?
by AnonymousAnonymous (not verified) on Sat Apr 04, 2009 06:53 AM PDTThe number of civilians killed by the U.S. in Vietnam (2 million) and Cambodia prior to the rise of the U.S.-backed Khmer Rouge (600,000) far exceeds the number of leftist Mojahedin, leftist Fadayan, leftist Tudeh, and right-wing Monarchists executed by the IRI. U.S.-backed military dictatorships in Indonesia, Zaire, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, and Argentina killed millions of people. And yet, I have never heard you utter one peep against the far greater crimes of the U.S. government, whose government on a daily basis kills dozens of civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. What can one conclude other than the fact that you are an apologist for U.S.-perpetrated killing?
Collaboration and patriotism
by Fred on Sat Apr 04, 2009 06:42 AM PDTthe Islamists/Anti-Semites and their likeminded lefty allies who under the guise of patriotism collaborate with the Islamist republic, like it or not, are at best passive participants in every single heinous act of barbarism committed by their Islamist republic.
There are demonstrable parallel between their behavior and that of the Vichy government’s collaboration with the Nazis under the same lame excuse of patriotic motives. Of course for the interested the historical and more to the point the nation of France’s judgment of the Vichy collaborators are easily available.
Fred,

For you, there are four categories of people on this site ?
How do you call the two last? Angels from the chosen land ; and Good poor fellows needing their country to be freed?
For your information Ahmad Batebi, said that despite what he risks, if there will be a war on Iran he’ll return to defend the motherland. How would you call him in such case?
But hang on to your hat...
