Fading from real to virtual
how fanatically committed
you've been to your runaway
and purely abstract cause.

Has your musing ever failed
not to be this consuming? Yet,
afraid of another broken vase
I've been in a grip of my own.

I watched your power with awe.
your dramatization,
neurotically over the top
of the Animal World.

You said the essence of sway,
said both predator and prey,
in its scintillating beauty
and its dark and tragic tone.

With the blinding flash of media,
the crescendo of the orchestra,
and the appreciation of the crowd
you opened your arms in accord

and burned to your core.
