Sorry that'd be $3.9/lbs. 1000 Toman ~= $1. So not that bad!

Very nice pictures! Beef is $38/lb??!!
by Esfand Aashena on Mon May 02, 2011 07:30 AM PDTThis pictures says beef is 8500 Toman/kilo which is about $85/kilo or $38/lbs! Filet Mignon is no more than $20/lbs or so and the picture is not even filets, just legs! Oh well.
Nazy jaan that is the way to visit Iran, it actually is the way! There isn't much other choices. With women being restrictive on what to wear and who can people see or where to go, the options are limited and "Islamic"! But it is Iran and there is no place like home!
Everything is sacred
Sisangan, the markets and warm people
by Monda on Sun May 01, 2011 10:50 PM PDTYou took me back to some very special places... Thank you!
Thanks for the trip!
by Nazy Kaviani on Sun May 01, 2011 01:55 PM PDTYou know, if I were to take a trip to Iran right now, I wouldn't want to do anything spectacular. I would only want to be able to walk down a street, look at the people, look at the shops, smell the air, pollution included, and just be a part of the millions going by and living there. That's all I want to do. O.K. Maybe I would also like to eat some things or see some people, too, but I would really like to take a simple and stress-free trip to Iran, very much like the one you are taking. Thank you for sharing your moments and taking me there. Lovely.
thanks for the pics

by پندارنیک on Sun May 01, 2011 06:44 AM PDTI know nothing about photography, but I know that those of us who have been living abroad with no or minimal contact with the motherland for a long period of time, yearn for pictures which convey the social psyche, and the mass spirit through some shots which portray people in real-time interaction, so to speak.
