Photo essay: Snapshots from my trip to Iran

These are some photos from my second and third weeks in Iran. I have come to visit my family. As I move around and see things, I would like to share my observations with you. The photos are from two villages in Taleghan, the landscape, the lake, the square, people, and buildings. Also there are photos of things and people in the streets and parks of Tehran, mehmonee and food, and Tehran's Jomeh Bazaar.

My family has a chalet in Taleghoon. I always go there for couple of days when I visit Iran. It's a nice getaway from pollution of Tehran. And it looks lovely in spring around this time.

The thousand year old garlic is amazing.......it is old, but not molded.....and still edible.....must be national treasure!

Great photos, especially Talleghan ones, didn't know they had a lake around there. More pictures from Talleghan, please. And don't mean to sound over sensitive either, but after enduring seeing that dead sheep's head, I'm beginning to feel a bit encumbered with that image. Can't we change the front picture with them thousand year old garlic, they sure look more appetizing, cheers

Picture # 31 looks like a square named after Jalal Al Ahmad. Is that his grave?
