In the name of God the compassionate, ever merciful
Belief in God’s religions, may seem to come easy for those who are brought up in a good religious family, but it’s not so for all others.
There are some who have religious parents, yet they turn out to be haters of religion or, even worse, God. This is mostly due to the bad and maybe abusive treatment of the children by their parents with false religious upbringing. On the other hand in rare cases, the religious parents are actually good and the child has a bad soul and being under the influence of God’s good servants, becomes rebellious and unjust.
I used to know some fellow Americans who were supposedly from devout Southern religious families and yet one of them admitted that he had actually stolen church property some years ago and the other had became an admirer of Satan! It is also known that we also have some corrupted youth from Iranian religious families as well. The same can be said for all countries, religions and people.
On the other hand, there are a great number of people who do not come from religious families, which is fine, but they will also never get to understand the faith of God either. In case of we Iranian Moslems born to secular parents, this is a sad reality. Even though we might have great parents and do believe in God, and even love the prophet of Islam as well, but yet are unwilling to go any further.
Those who are secular but believe in God may say that why should they pursue understanding of faith more? Why should it not just be enough to believe in God? The answer to that is simple. We know of God through his religions and to just accept God without pursuing the faith by ourselves would be illogical and somewhat hypocritical! If one even has a weak belief in God, then they should find out more. Of course our faith, Islam, is on an individual personal level and people should pursue it by their own selves and should not be forced into it.
For those who have a weak belief, I can present this verse from the holy Quran:
Sureh At-Tauba: 126
See they not (those who are weak in belief or do not believe) that they are tried (by God) every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed?
The above means that God will try and test all Humans on a regular basis to see if they acknowledge him and his faith. For example, this test can come in the form of an answer to one’s prayer. When God answers one’s prayer, he would expect the person to realize it and thank God for the favor granted. If they acknowledge the favor and increase their belief and understanding and the pursuit of their faith, they will be among the blessed or they can ignore it and be among the ignorant. One has to keep their mind and their heart open so that they will not be among those who missed the opportunity.
For those who still have a chance as long as their soul has not yet departed their physical bodies whether they are believer or not, the holy Quran says:
Sureh Al-An'am: 158-159
Do they (who do not believe), perchance, wait for the angels to appear unto them, or for thy Sustainer [God Himself] to appear, or for some of thy Sustainer's [final] portents to appear? [But] on the Day when thy Sustainer's [final] portents do appear, believing will be of no avail to any human being who did not believe before, or who, while believing, did no good works.
At the end of this blog I have to say that yours truly, this Anonym, is just a person like any other. As we Iranians say ‘Khoone ma rangin tar az baghiyeh nist’.
Also as indicated in previous blogs, the life examples that are provided in my blogs do not correlate with my personal life, unless it is specifically mentioned to be so. These are general examples that are merely created to give one a point of reference and some clarity.
Thank you for reading this.
