A decent movie to show the greatness of Islam

A decent movie to show the greatness of Islam

The movie "The Message" is a nice long (about 3 hours full version) movie made in 1978. Great actors like Anthony Quinn really make the movie very entertaining as well as historic.

Islam is a great religion introduced by God to man and this movie more or less provides the viewer with that knowledge.

I don't know if you can watch the full version online anywhere but you may be able to rent it or get it from Amazon.com .

Any Better Madresas?

by Anvar on

*Badi19*, after your old user ID, like your master Wahid’s, was banned I was happy to see you recognizing the Glory of God in your new user ID.

I, too, have an inquisitive mind so let me ask you something.  Are there any better Madresas in Pakistan where you can attend or are your educational opportunities limited to only what you can learn from The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement online?  Of course, studying online can be very ‘convenient.’

Mona19, if u are really a bahai can you answer this question ?

by Allahu_Abha on

Why aren't Bahai's allowed to communicate with "convenient breakers" I know you  know the answer Wahid and I guess I do to but there is no harm in being friends with them as long as you do not take their views to the Bahai community, right?

Obviously you are campaiging for a role yourself in this remake of the Message. Perhaps you can be cast as one of the many slave girls belonging to the Quraysh who got regularly traded around.

Dear Mona-19

by Anonym on

I know of what you say about the Baha'i faith, but I am refering to  individuals not the faith.

It does not make a difference what a religion says. Some people will interepret and/or decide on their own on what they want to do. So please believe me that people do anything in the name of religion and Baha'is are no exception.

As a matter of fact I was listening to a PBS talk show interviewing a person born to Baha'i faith, a nice person.  He was saying that after a while he got fed-up with some of the bad things he heard at the gatherings and he was so upset that he left the faith for many years. He said that later he came back because his life was empty and decided that he could ignore what he did not like to hear I guess.

As for the anti-Islamic posts on this site, it's anyone's guess who they are. Even if they say that they are from this faith or that faith or they may even say that they are non-belivers. One can not believe them.

Having said all that, one could assume and nothing but assume that a good number of them could be misinformed or extremists from other religions or certain non-believers (ex-Muslims in name).

Since the Baha'i faith is under pressure in Iran and it's a known fact that there are extremist Baha'is around, then it makes it a better possibility, but still not for certain.

Would you agree that might be an acceptable possiblity?

Regards,

A.

Dear Anonym ...

by Mona 19 on

You said: "So there is a very good possibility that he is a Baha'i extremist, but I am just guessing."

Because he is an Ex-Muslim, it doesn't means he's a Baha'i...dear hamvatan,Bahais hold Islam, and indeed all divine religions, in the highest esteem and considers them all to be the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future. (How Baha'is View Islam)

I'm a Baha'i with Muslim Shiah background, as a matter of fact most of my life I practiced Islam, and if I'm no longer part of that community it doesn't mean I hate Islam and Prophet Muhammad . No, absolutly not. I'll be always thankful that I trained and grew up according to his teachings.

Regards,Mona

Zulfiqar's beef with the Bahais

by Faramarz_Fateh on

I've been around Bahais long enough to know a few things.

This dude Zulfi is an ex Bahai who lives in Australia.

Bahais normally excommunicate members who go crazy; apparently Zulfi came up with his own religion; he was told to resign his membership as a Bahai and then go do whatever he wants.

He didn't and he was thrown out.  Now he is pissed at them.

I recommend you read posts by this dude to see how he came up with his own religion.  He posts messages under 4 or 5 IDs.

I do agree that like any religion, Bahais have good and bad people. I've seen my share of bad ones in Los Angeles over the years.  But for every 1 Bahai asshole I've met 100 good ones.

Normally though they, unlike me, are pretty respectful towards religion and especially Islam.

Yes, Zulfiqar

The movie is being re-made.  This time, it will an all Jewish cast though--you know...Hollywood being the cesspool of Jews and all.  Leonard Nimoy will be playing Mohamed (he will be shown this time) and William Shatner will play Hamza.  Because of his dark complexion, Jeff Goldblum will play Ali (will also be shown) and Jon Favreau will play Abu Sofian (for comic relief).  Oh, almost forgot...Sandra Bernhard will play "Hend".  Mel Brooks will direct.

Tickets can be purchased from the following site:

Thanks Zulfiqar110

by Anonym on

It is possible that this character is an extremist person like the 'Ali Sina' type. He obviously noticed the nice Baha'i person, Mona 19, saying what she had to say from her heart and it angered him.

His exact phrase to Mona-19 was "Why do you embarce this cult???" and "Wake up...M O N A... ". So there is a very good possibility that he is a Baha'i extremist, but I am just guessing. You can also view his other blog entries which should provide more clues.

As I had said earlier, there are good Baha'is and there are bad ones too. Even non-believer Iranians would never attack my views like that. He clearly had a purpose in mind!

Thanks again for bringing things to people's attention. I am the kind of person who is not very good about knowing people and their agenda. I always try to see things more simply, but I guess that is not always the case.

As for the movie being re-made, I really don't know. But if it is, I'll put out a blog to inform people about it.

Who is Cost-of-Progress: just another fink Baha'i alias

by Zulfiqar110 on

Dear Anonymous,

I have good reason to believe that this deranged imbecile is a Baha'i. Once again, as you see for yourself, the most rabidly hateful anti-Islamic screeds are coming from members of this cult. It is they who are whipping and stoking all the anti-Islamic frenzy all over this place, and with someone as good and peace-loving as you.

The Message is a great movie. I have two versions of this film on VHS, a shorter version and a longer version. The longer version is about half an hour longer in footage. There was a rumor floating around a few years ago that this film was going to be remade. Have you heard anything?

"cost-of-progress" ?

by Anonym on

You are ignorant because you talk about something you don't understand and judge it.

You said "... Your 8 year old daughter can be forced to marry  ..." in your statemet to Mona-19. As I said before, the religion of Islam does not force anyone to marry another. That is a lie and that makes yourself a hypocrite and a lier.

Islam respects all beliefs as long as they do not attack God or Islam. The verses in Quran are to give people as a gentle warning. You can accept it or deny it.

The above should address the non-personal accusations by you.

As for you calling me a "vatan forushan". I call you a person without soul.

I am trying to bring unity, kindess and understanding to the Iranian community. I am trying to make people understand and respect all Iranians regardless of their differences and you "ahmaghe droogh goo" are causing hate and segregation in our community. You are the "doshman" not me. The ironic part is that you are just too stupid to comprehend that you are actually hurting the Iranian community.

What have I done or said that you call me a  "vatan forush". Be kee vatanam ro frookhtam, ahmagh. Mordeshoore tou va har che zede-islame past va razle. Ta chesmetton ham koor sheh.

I am defending my religion against a bunch of fools, liers and hatemongers. What the heck do want me to do when the Iranian government calls itself Islamic. To sit and let fools and hatemongers attack my religion and keep quiet? No, I will address the injustices of Iranian government and defend Islam too. You don't like it? Tough!

Cost-of-Progress

Anonym - You Hypocrite

by Cost-of-Progress on

When a religion sanctions the marriage of an 8 year old, then the sheep followers (like you) make up their own way of life. Institutionlized pedophilia!

You talk about respecting the belief of one another, yet the very cult you call your religion does not recongnize that - How hypocritical and typical of you muslim lovers and vatan forushan.....Here, a couple of "holy" versus from your book written by your favorite pedophile:

(Quran-5:10)- Those who reject faith and deny our signs will be companions of Hell-fire.

(Quaran-9: 63)- Know they not that for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, is the Fire of Hell, wherein they shall dwell? That is the supreme disgrace.

Ignorant, by the way, khodeti - Obviously by embracing this blood thirsty cult.

You probably aren't even Iranian. If you are, that explains a lot for Iran!

Anonym

"cost-of-progress"?

by Anonym on

Islam does not force anyone to marry another, people do.

Ignorance is among the most preventive elements that would inhibit a human soul to "progress". The real progress is when human beings respect the belief of one another.

Cost-of-Progress

Mona,

by Cost-of-Progress on

are you a female, and if yes, you perhaps ( i sure as hell hope you do) know that in Islam your worth is 1/2 of that of a man? Why do you embarce this cult??? Your 8 year old daughter can be forced to marry to, say a 50 year old man, or worse at the age of 8?

Wake up...M O N A...

AtheistKurd

by Anonym on

God does not reveal ideologies but injunctions and gentle warnings to set people on the correct path.

Humans must live their lives as good, Just and humble people. If there are individuals who cause problems, then that seems to me like a human problem not God's. In a way, bad humans are wronging themselves. Of course, in this world their wrong doing would sometimes affect the life of good people too.

If interested, I'll try to tell you more about the purpose of this life and why it is the way it is and why there is a God. However, this has already been explained to people by the prophets of God. I'll be happy to repeat them to you, though in a more specific manner.

AtheistKurd

what a GOD....

by AtheistKurd on

God does not need prophets and books. We should just live our lives. It would have been more beneficial for humanity if God had revelaed something other than ideologies. How about, Live your lives and dont cause harm? would that have been too hard? There is no God that is why this world does not make any sense..

Think neutrally and not base it on emotions. Mohammed was just as a fraud as Joseph Smith, Sung Myung Moon and Bahaullah.. God does not need a religion....

Anonym

Thanks Dear Mona ...
