I just noticed that Fesenjoon has been blocked. Come on JJ!! Dude, Fesenjoon is a talented writer and a great artist. He's one of the best on this site. It is a disservice to the site for him to be blocked. You want writers like him to elevate the standards of the site. Plus, he comes up with original ideas for blogs. You let a bunch of people who have been blocked a million times to stay on, but you block Fesenjoon? Come on dude, "that just ain't fair" as they say. You've GOT to set him free!!!!
And if he has done something wrong, let this be his warning. Please let that great mind back on. Thanks.

by AntiMozakhraf on Fri Jan 28, 2011 06:58 PM PSTI agree with the logic of your last comment entirely. Problem is you are asking the impossible. Afterall, the 'sogoli's of IC are of the caliber of the 'bright bulb' on this very thread. Given that standard, don't you think your expectation is a bit unreasonable?
Respectfully, Shepesh Jaan, it is about talent
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 06:36 PM PSTcontributions from talented users whose work in shared on Facebook--and even placed in Balatarin, as one of Fesenjoon's Persian blogs was, matters. These contributers add value to the site. In that light, they should be given more consideration than a non-contributing member. At the very least, they should be given at least a warning before they are blocked.
Fesenjoon put efforts into his blogs. He designed photos for them. His work showed careful and meticulous editing. He did all of that because he respected his work, and the quality of the site, much more than many other contributers, myself perhaps included. In return, he should have been given some consideration. Don't you think so?
From Fesenjoon to Chelo Kabob!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 06:30 PM PSTI knew chelo kabob was going to enter the picture at some point! It's ingrained in our psyche. :-)))
Seriously, I will carry on with my protest boycott. It's my choice. People can follow suit if they want. And if they don't, that's their choice. No hard feelings.

by Faramarz on Fri Jan 28, 2011 05:52 PM PSTNo Need for a Boy-Cut!
Most Iranian boys were cut at a young age and the wounds have already healed!
We will take to the streets in the morning and protest your rule!
Talent is not the issue
by Shepesh on Fri Jan 28, 2011 04:57 PM PSTBut self control. Every person who has been blocked had little self control. You can't just post comments full of insults and keep expecting Admin to clear up the mess on a daily basis. They've got enough on their plate, and they want to run a reputable site . If your comments get deleted then you should get the message. Don't abuse!
AH
by Doctor mohandes on Fri Jan 28, 2011 04:54 PM PSTAkhey!
You are so democratically flexible:))

Ha ha ha!
The Boycott Issue
by Doctor mohandes on Fri Jan 28, 2011 04:12 PM PSTFor it to have an impact there needs to be a massive participation, It must be doshman shekan:))
But since some of the members refuse to do so, i suggest we downgrade it to girlcott for now and see what happens!! That would be a democratic thing to do.
I will have faramarz take AH to a chelokababi /salon/ or treat her to a free pedicure /or massage and convince her to act democratically:))
Block kardane Fesenjoon Yek Hogeye siasist...

by yolanda on Fri Jan 28, 2011 03:09 PM PSTI will not boycott IC! I really don't have the discipline like Iranians to boycott IC! :O)
I love IC...I can't help it!.......IC has been really good to me!
//iranian.com/main/image/103562
IC has given me 79 weeks of joy! I really appreciate that! It is like a my virtual family!
I hope every IC member is happy and content!
Not pretentious at all Rea!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:47 PM PSTI wrote it to bring attention to the fact that one of my favorite bloggers was blocked. People can read and/or participate in it if they wish. And if they don't, that's fine too.
Good night (or day, as the case may be). :-))
Anahid: me, serious? NEVER!!! :-))
Is this another SP blog ?
by Rea on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:42 PM PSTJust as ridiculous and pretentious.
Out of here.
by not complaining about being blocked :)
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:38 PM PSTThat was a joke AO. don't take yourself too seriously.

by Rea on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:36 PM PSTHear, hear !
Anahid - How is that possible?!!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:33 PM PSTYou say:
i will only participate in a boycott if a writer that i like gets blocked like Esfand, or myelf.
Fair enough. But, if I may ask, how can you participate in a boycott if you're blocked? How's that logistically possible?!!
Mehrdad - Thank you for commenting
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:31 PM PSTand thank you for your participation in the protest.
i will not participate in this boycott
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:23 PM PSTI really did not follow fesenjoon too much. only recently I read couple of his blogs. Therefore, I will not participate in the boycott. . i will only participate in a boycott if a writer that i like gets blocked like Esfand, or myelf.
I didn't care for his writing so I just stopped reading/commenti
by Bavafa on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:07 PM PSTBut to learn that he is blocked is both shocking and absurd and I add my voice to many others here to stop this non-sense blocking and invite him back.
Like many are saying, creating another userID might be easy but driving some one out, telling them they are not welcome is another matter which many may just choose not to come back and that would be a loss for IC and its readers.
Edit:
I agree and would participate in that boycott.
Mehrdad
Really? This blog was closed for comments? Wow!!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:04 PM PSTNext thing I'll get blocked. :-))
Fesenjoon was in a few
by MM on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:00 PM PSTFesenjoon was in a few arguments with various people. Unless Admin makes a specific comment, my guess is that Fesenjoon's comments got flagged one too many times and brought the wrath of the new Admin.
If he comes back from the 72-Virgin-ia-land of shahids, we have to ask him how AV and SP are doing and definitely ask him to change his avatar.
PS, this blog was blocked from additional commenting for a few minutes just a while ago. So, AO - watch your derriere.
DM & Faramarz - the boycott idea is great!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:04 PM PSTThe idea of boycotting the site in protest for a week is great. I will not comment on the site (except for this blog) for a week in protest. I encourage everyone else who wants him back to do so, and leave a comment on this blog stating why they are boycotting the site.
Fesenjoon, Fesenjoon, hemaayatet mikoneem!!
Fesenjoon's writings were great!
by Anonymous Observer on Fri Jan 28, 2011 02:01 PM PSThe is extraordinarily talented, both in English and in Persian. There are only a few other bloggers on this site who share his talent and his writing abilities. And the best evidence of that was all the Facebook "shares" that he got on his blogs.
Incidentally, I think that the blogs are still there. I just checked on the one that I had linked to in this blog of mine, and it is still there:

"He's one of the best on this site"
by Rea on Fri Jan 28, 2011 12:07 PM PSTBeg your pardon! Let's not exaggerate !
are his blogs gone too? why so many blocking recently?
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Jan 28, 2011 12:02 PM PSTWhy so many blocking? I did not even know that Fesenjoon is kind of writer to get blocked on IC. He was no Captain ayhab or did I miss something?
Fesenjoon
by Simorgh5555 on Fri Jan 28, 2011 12:00 PM PSTHe made the best observations about Iranian idiosyncrasies. He should get a degree in anthropology.
