the new baghdad bob

by hamsade ghadimi on

he reminds me of the minister of information in iraq when the us had just invaded iraq. he was nicknamed "baghdad bob".  it seemed like a skit out of 'saturday night live'.  he kept saying everything is normal, the iraqi troops are routing the americans, etc. while you could hear the sound of the bombs exploding in baghdad.

fareed zakaria hinted on bahgdad bob's fate to marandi; but instead, he used the example of soviet propagandists.  i don't know what ever happened to "baghdad bob".  but this guy is gambling a whole lot to be the mouthpiece for this totalitarian regime.  and kudos to fareed for kicking marandi's butt.
