Thank you Chef KShar for the great recipe!

I have not had had Shami since the early 80's when my mother used to make them for us. I am going to make some this weekend and surprise friends and family!

My grandmother's recipe had the tomato sauce that accompanied Shami which was exactly like yours but with tomato sauce.
She served it with Torshi and Lavash bread. And we dipped the bread into the sauce. Doogh was also served!
