That said Constitutionally speaking it could be argued that it was not a "coup" but a "Counter Coup" ...

Either way I am afraid on the long term it was a No Win Win Outcome for all concerned be it Pro Shah or Pro Mossadegh.

Nasser was Pro Soviet and King Hussein Supported by the British where he was Educated in their Military Academy.
The Shah was Swiss Educated ...
Maybe That was his Major Shortcoming ...
The Shah was the Unsung Architect of the Middle East Peace Process for which he was never acknowledged.
Iran was the first muslim country to recognize Israel and we did not wait for an ARAB League's endorsement to see our Sovereign make a State Visit to Israel Decades before Camp David Accords ...
