For some reason people just don't seem to get that the Holocaust WAS exclusive from any other event in the world. For all that war is horrible and innocent lives are lost in war, the Holocaust victims were not EVER in a position to defend themselves as are the palestineans, for example. There IS no comparison and never will be. I am against the Israeli's continued aggression and perhaps their arrogant assumption that the world will continue to support them but don't EVER say that victims in this war are a result of genocide or a Holocaust. To do so is simply inhuman.

How about other holocausts?!

You defined the word, holocaust, in the most general way and then rushed immediately into narrowing its scope for us. What is the rush? Let's dwell upon the holocausts for a moment or two (please notice the plural). The repetitive usage of the word holocaust and its immediately ensuing linkage with the victimization of the Jews HAS narrowed the scope to the detriment of our knowledge, and analysis, of other holocausts. For the simple minds this repetitive usage means there was only one holocaust, namely the Jewish holocaust. It has political utility, as we all know, for the Zionist state to justify its brutalities and its proxy function as the hatchetman for the Western imperialists in the heart of Moslem world. To digress a bit, just imagine if the Moslems were to set up such proxy entity in the heart of Europe to savage the Europeans with the same barbarity which the Zionist state applies to the Moslems, to divide them, to show contempt towards them, to victimize them as the tragic Gaza invasion, and to arrogantly twist history to say that Moslems have historical roots in Europe going back to the Neanderthal age! Personally, if that were the case, I would not hesitate to condemn that imaginary Moslem proxy in the heart of Europe with the same force that I condemen the Zionist entity. And perhaps, we may even imagine that Moslems may seek to 'democratize' the West as The Americans & the Nato have supposedly sought to do in the Moslem world. Let us take the Vatican, as an example, which rules over more than 1.4 billion souls. The Pope is never elected by the direct vote of those whom he represents, on the contrary, he is selected by an exclusive club of Catholic cardinals in complete secrecy! I have seen images of the monks prostrating en mass before the Pope in the most servile manner. Imagine if the Iranian Moslems were to do so before, say, an Ayatollah. (I hope you use your talent and show us pictures of this bizarre Vatican/Catholic ritual). It seems to me that this pillar of the Western world needs some democratization, more so since it is in the habit of lecuring the Moslems. So why not send a division or two of Moslem warriors to the Vatican, occupy it, with some shock and awe, and declare that Moslems are there to bring democracy to the West? Surely the Europeans & Christians would be outraged and would fight back. So, why don't we extend the same rights to being outraged and to fighting back to the Moslems as well? Back to other holocausts. I do give you credit for mentioning other victims of the Nazi barbarity. But I wished you were more speicific. The first inmates of the concentration camps were not Jews, but were Germans themselves. Specifically, about a quarter of a million German communists and socialists were thrown into the concentration camps during those horrible months after the Reichstag's fire in 1933, and most of them perished there. This is extremely important because the German left did their best to oppose the Nazis to prevent them from grabbing the levers of power when everybody else was signing pacts with them. Even after this momentous inquistion,- certainly not the first in the history of Western Europe, with all the sinister & sordid paraphernailia of the Western inquistions as those in previous epochs- the German left began a heroic underground resistance throughtout WWII. Certainly that is a holocaust to be mentioned & studied. But in the Second Inquistion in the aftermath of WWII, better known as the Cold War, in which the Western countries purged all dissent from their ranks very effectively, the cruel fate of those German patriots needed no mentioning since they were of the crimson colour. What about the Dresen & Hamburg firebombings in WWII by the Anglo-American bombers. In Dresden alone, whose popultion, in February 1945, had swollen with fleeing refugees to more than seven hundred thousands, the fire bombing incinerated, by some estimates, close to half a million German civilians. That certainly was a holocaust and a war crime( especially so since Dresden had no military value with the Reich in its death throes) committed by the leadership in America and Britian. The Siege of Leningrad was a holocaust in which amidst unbelievable suffering hundreds of thousands perished. The firebombing of Tokyo, a month after the Dresden firebombing, killed more than either nuclear bombings of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Certainly, the Japanese civilians were targted intentionally with utmost racist rhetoric by the Americans. The firebombing of Tokyo & the Nuclear bombings must be subsumed under holocausts as well. The important thing to remember is that these holocausts were committed by the Westerners. Pure and simple. When we refer to the Nazi Germany do we not mean Germany which is a Western country? Why has adjective Nazi in this case overwhlmed Germany's Western roots? Is it to hard to swollow that, Italy, Spain, Germany, not to mention Vichy France, all fascist states, happen to be Western countries as well? Is the association of the term fascism with the West to be avoided with some sleight-of-hand? Is there a fear out there that we might discover that the terms Fascism and the West are not mutually exclusive at all. Even worse, the word Fascism has deep Western roots and refers to the Roman colonizers/magistrates who had the fasces carried before them by the lictors? In conclusion, there were other holocaustS and they must be mentioned in the same breath. We must not pick and choose holocausts as suits our purpose or agenda. German, Russian, Japanese civilians also were subjected to holocausts by the Western powers themselves, Germany included. Your stance is right-wing, and you made the calumny in one of your post that the Moslem militants and fascism are linked somehow. It seems to me that a good cogent case can be made that fascism is endemic and unique to the West and its proxies around the world. I look forward to you posting pics/film of the prostrating monks. I do not understand your question ? Nor intend to answer your questions as if I ignored the moral dillemas regarding our Atomic Age which is not the subject of this blog.

You Sir/Madam are amongst those frequent contradictors ( like Jaleho, or Another Lost Iranian In France etc ) who have absolutely no idea of who I am nor what are my opinions ( be them political, philisophical, historical or human).  You simply want to contradict for the sake of contradiction and draw rapid conclusions based on your own personal prejudice regarding me without ever bothering to read what I write. Whether its regarding the SAVAK ( Which I have Never endorsed the crimes unlike You with the SAVAMA), the Iran Iraq War ( the children which YOUR Beloved IRI regime sent to the mine fields with a Plastic Key around their neck for Paradise), Articles on Film or Art  etc.  You continuously bring up issues that have nothing to do with the debate or issue in question.

This blog has nothing to do with Iran or the Monarchy. BUT how about those who innocently killed in Iran/iraq war or even hiroshima and nagasaki, do they come into your equation? They were childrens, old people and those who did not like a war and even maybe some jewwws among them. Iranians and Japanese are human being too Mr DK.

Why don't you show videos on that? Do you agree on that? Or maybe some friends of yours do not like anyone to talk about that dark side of history?
