Much needed analysis
by robertborden54 on Sun Oct 09, 2011 09:31 AM PDTI really hope Ghaneifard is writing a book on SAVAK. He is a very able and objective researcher. We need so much more research and informed analysis regarding SAVAK so we can get a cleare picture of its role during the Shah's reign. I personally think it is intellectually insulting to Ghaneifard to pair him up with the the old gentleman who is clearly no scholar. Much like others in his generation he tells stories based on his memories. Maybe VOA felt they needed someone more pro-monarchy on the panel?
Objective researcher but biased diplomat ...
by Darius Kadivar on Sun Oct 09, 2011 03:28 AM PDTLiked the young reasearcher Erfan Ghaenifar for his objectivity but the former diplomat Amin Foroughi truly came across as totally biased ...
Old age probably ...
Kudos to VOA's Siamak Dehghanpour for reminding it to him and for his journalistic professionalism as usual.
