Reza Pahlavi and Maryam Rajavi have so much in common. Here are only a few of them:
Both have Big egos
Both make Big claims
Both don't like each other
Both have Little public support in Iran
Both want a permanent rule of a group or family
Both are out of touch with realities of Iran today
Both often had their supporters show up with their pictures and signs in the rallies and caused division or lack of participation among Iranian abroad
Both opposed voting and now want a new election!
Both had nothing whatsoever to do with what happened in Iran before and post election
Both are Opportunists who are taking advantage of the current unfortunate situation in Iran for own gains
Both indirectly help regime label the struggles of the people
Both cause a common public reaction to their statements, press releases, interviews and leadership claims:

What do you possibly get out of making such comments on parham or anyone else for that matter? Let's find the solution to the problems that we are having back home. Enough of this "you are no better than anyone else" stuff and mudslingings.

by Parham on Tue Jun 30, 2009 07:31 PM PDTDude (?), I'm not running for public office or anything, you know? I throw a suggestion, you want to think about it, you do, you don't want to, you don't. Your loss! :)
I don't think I'm the most intelligent person who ever lived. I actually believe thinking that, or actually even suggesting that, stems from your own arrogance/ego, and it's a sign of having a crooked mind.
I'm only very straightforward, you like it, good, you don't, tough. I believe most people who are not and try to use so-called "diplomatic" ways are usually charlatans and crooks.
I can insult back where I'm insulted, and I do it sometimes in a much nastier way, but that's my right. You hit me, I'll hit you back so bad you'll have a hard time getting up. I don't HAVE to turn the other cheek, and I won't.
More, I have decided I have no respect for certain people anymore, especially those who trample my rights either knowingly or unknowingly, one way or another. If you contribute to my oppression, or that of my family (or those I care for), you're @%&?ed. If you're doing it unknowingly, my attitude should be enough for you to understand. You don't, you're stupid, and I'll treat you as such. That's my right, and I'll go about it that way. Happy, good. Not happy, go .... yourself (<-- take a wild guess).
More, don't "jan" me. I don't know you, and you haven't even posted with your name -- so I don't even know if you're someone I know. That, to me, is manipulation. I don't like manipulation either!
Capisce? :)

Iranians should pass the torch to Karoubi now
by David ET on Tue Jun 30, 2009 06:07 PM PDTToday Mehdi Karoubi with his historical statement took the deserved leadership role of the people's movement and it is now up to the people and the coalition to stand behind him.
I started writing a long article about this and near the end I lost it all and I will attempt at another one but due to the importance of this historical statement, I see the need to at least for now state that the people and coalition should openly show their support of Karoubi's stated positions and assign him the leadership role that he has gained by his actions and active presence in the past few weeks .
I sure hope to very soon hear new slogans of : Karoubi Hedayat, Irani Hemayat
(Karoubi leadership, Iranians support)
I know this comment may lack insifficient backing but I will state my reasons in much detail soon. His presence at Ghobad Mosque few days ago and his humble, couragous and detailed statement today should be the taken as turning signal that I hope Iranians would act upon.

I mind you sir, just to have clarified myself, my objection to these characters[Reza and MKO] is that their photo op and opportunist moves are counterproductive to the people on the streets of Iran.
If you are in contact with home, I am sure you hear the magnitude of propaganda that IR has going about trying to blame this movement on an outside force.

1. [Maryam Rajavi, a woman who because of her close to three decades of dedication to the cause of overthrowing the IRI is at the top of the list of the anti-IRI political personalities that this regime wants to
assassinate.]
2. [You believe that they don't have support in Iran and then give your verdict on that personal belief ignoring all other evidences to the contrary.]
It is obvious from your remarks that you are an avid supporter of Maryam Rajavi and treacherous MKO [vatan foorosh] cult, If not an active member. So here is my elaboration:
Your political views are totally your personal choice, as a citizen you are 100% entitled to them, no matter how ugly and disgusting they might be.
However, there is an slight problem. You are associating yourself with group of people who sided with enemy combatant[Iraq and Saddam] in 8 years of war against your own people. You people took arm against your own brothers and sisters in Iran and killed many of our brave countrymen.
With any human standards, of which you people have no idea about, MKO and Entire Rajavi ilk deserve nothing less that court marshal for high treason. Rajavi's and MKO sold out the country, sided with with aggressor enemy against their own people.
So do yourself a favor, enjoy any types of political views you wish, it is your right, but have bit of shame at least not to support these type of [VATAN FOOROOSH] cult who will not hesitate to kill their own citizens by siding with genocidal enemy like Saddam. Rajavi's and MKO has no honor and dignity and by their actions during Iraq war , they have demonstrated their ugly and despicable agenda.
Reza Pahlavi[of whom I am totally against] might be totally detached from reality of Iran, he might be many things, but at least his supporters had enough decency and honor not to take up arm against their own people.
Have a wonderful day ;-)

Some random questions I have been pondering upon!
by Curious Two-Legged Monkey (not verified) on Tue Jun 30, 2009 07:12 AM PDTWhat has become of us Iranians?
Why do Iranians think of themselves as experts in every field?
Why don't Iranians do their homework before they express opinions on issues?
Why haven't we learned that just because we are entitled to our "opinions" that doesn't automatically constitute the right of being entitled to our "facts"?
Just because the Internet is an open and free forum for writing and posting material it doesn't mean what we contribute has any content or value!
Who gives me the right to speak on the behalf of 10's of millions of Iranians as to whom they support and whom they don't support?
Why do Iranians lack common sense?
Why should a real estate agent who may be very successful in his/her area of expertise should pretend to be an expert on the political issues of the day, specially those of Iran?
Why do I feel like a Monkey today? oooo ooooo aaaa aaaa a eeeee ee eee ooo oo aaaaa

by David ET on Tue Jun 30, 2009 06:54 AM PDTYou are right but this blog was about what the two have in common and not what the differences are
Indeed rajavi's hands are stained with blood of Iranian people and Reza Pahlavi's are not but his father's Savak was and Reza never fully regret or acknowledge .
Also his recent involvement in the todays affairs of Iran is giving the regime even more reasons to cause bloodshed, so he can indirectly help more bloodshed.
If he says his words has no effect then why is he saying it and if he claims it is having an effect on some Iranians , then the regime is using it against the people and he also becomes responsible. He can't have it both ways!
Thanks
