A practical suggestion: Councils of Resistance

This a practical suggestion to the people of Iran resisting this dictatorship at this crucial hour of confrontation.

Organize yourselves into local Councils of Resistance (showra-ye moqavemat) in every urban and rural district of the nation. These councils would function similarly to the Komitehs of the last Revolution except that they should have no specific ideological agenda other than commitment to democracy and the defense of the people against this fascist, terrorist regime. This would also be building the future, secular democracy of Iran right now and from the grassroots, ground-up locally. It would also begin pulling the practical levers of administration and government from out under the regime and fast track the process of  totally de-legitimizing the system and its continued functionality as of right now!
