A one-hour BBC documentary about the life of Khamenei. It is an interesting and colorful look at the head of the Islamic Republic Regime.

What I found interesting about this documentary was the identification of the people who have influence over Khamenei and provide advice on various issues. None of these people are known to most Iranians. They operate like a Mafia family. The President, Majlis and other organs of the Regime are completely irrelevant and bypassed at will.
Faramarz: A few observations!
by Oon Yaroo on Tue Sep 20, 2011 05:06 PM PDTA few observations.
1) Watching the video brought back a lot of sad/bad memories of the miserable decade of the 80’s. One disaster after another all brought upon Iran/Iranians by this criminal thug and his likes.
2) When you watch the video, you don’t necessarily find Khamenei “impressive” but rather you find Iranian people “unimpressive” for allowing a thug like him rule them.
3) The narrator, described Khamenei’s youth as a gregarious person who had a lot of intellectual friends, read a lot of books, and listened to music. But later on in his life, he lost all those interests! I wonder what else he used to do/give, and later lost interests in!? Any idea, like boshkeh?
But, on a more serious note, I think the only way out of the current predicament is a military strike on these thugs.
