Pure Blood!
by Faramarz on Tue Sep 07, 2010 04:07 PM PDTIn my family, the grandmas were from Tehran and the good looking grandpas were from Tabriz and Bakhtiari tribe.
The men's families were opposed to the Tehrani girls. Even back then, they didn't think that big city girls were marriage material; no hejab and wearing big stylish hats!
I love those old family pictures!
Welcome to the club!!!
by Souri on Tue Sep 07, 2010 03:55 PM PDTI think we, the Iranians, can always brag ourselves about our PURE blood (true Persian asl o nasab) !!
I have to register in your club too!
I am from Tehran, while my father was a Gorgani and my mom from mazandarn and my grand pa was from Russia (Turkistan) and my other grand pa was Taleghani.....lol! ...but somehow we are from Ghajar's descendants (?!!)
Can you fidn the porteghal froush there?

They are the same group.
I really liked this clip. They looked like they were having such a great time being around each other and play their music.
A breath of fresh air!
Persian Folkoric Music group
by Souri on Tue Sep 07, 2010 01:57 PM PDTDear Faramrz,
Beautiful music, I truly enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
I am wondering if this is not the same group as "Rastak" folkloric music group who sing almost all the "mahalli Persian music"
I've been informed of their existence just before Nowruz 2010.
They are just amazing!
Here is a link about them:
