Just when you think that you have seen it all and, have heard it all, one of our fellow country-men kicks it up another notch and surprises you.
This story appeared in the S.F. Chronicle the other day.
An Iranian couple pleaded no contest and will be sentenced for 235 fraudulent car insurance claims. At their auto shop, they were putting dead rats in their customers’ fancy cars and then charged them (and their insurance companies) a lot of money to remove the dead rats! My favorite part of the story is that they bought the rats and then killed them. You figure that the pet shop owner would be suspicious when a guy comes in and buys all his cute little pink rats and then orders some more! Here is the link to the article.

Bajenagh Jaan,
I agree with you and I hate the rats as much as you do. I didn't even like the movie Ratatouille.
These folks could have killed as many rats with rat poison as they wanted and nobody would have given a rat's ass about it. But ripping off people 235 times ($1.2 million) by putting dead rats in their car engines? That's not good.

by bajenaghe naghi on Thu May 14, 2009 03:28 PM PDTI hate the idea of killing animals other than for food. BUT I have no particular love for rats. I hate those critters as much as snakes, spiders, gnats, and other little creepy things. So I am not going to lose any sleep over reading about these two losers who killed rats and used them as props in order to steal money. BUT, I must give them credit for choosing the right kind of animal to kill for their devious deed. I would have personally gone and kicked their fat Iranian asses if they had killed cats, dogs, rabbits, or even humans instead.

by anonymous fish on Thu May 14, 2009 01:31 PM PDTno one said it was worse. do you need to compare everything to something else? once again, the US is gotta be the whipping boy for everything in the world. i'll point one thing out to you right now... torture wasn't invented in the last 233 years my friend. and it didn't start with the US of A. keep it relevant. thanks.
Unbelievable!
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Thu May 14, 2009 02:37 PM PDTWith so much suffering in the world, why would anyone bother to buy a fancy car? It’s so unbelievable.
