The situation in Gaza is tragic. Innocent people are dying because of a conflict between extremist Muslims represented in IRI and Hamas, and Israel. The conflict needs to end, both Hamas and Israel need to be held accountable for civilian death, and a withholding Middle East peace process needs to be established.
The reaction to this tragedy by some Islamist, Arabs and leftists have been interesting, to say the least. They have been screaming on top of their lounges mostly in bashing Israel, versus supporting Palestinians. They have started an enormous public opinion brainwashing campaign to bash Israel. That brings up a very important question: what is the reason that these folks scream so loud whenever Israel is involved? The most common answer they give is that it is because of “humanitarian” reasons! Well, if that’s the case, how come those people who always bash the U.S and Israel, and are big supporters of totalitarian regimes such as IRI and Chavez, are silent about these “humanitarian” issues:
- The Darfur crisis: where an “Islamist government which is a victim of “imperialism (!!)” is engaged in mass genocide of non-Arabs.
- The Chechnya crisis: where Muslims just like Palestinians, are getting massacred by the “anti imperialist (!!)” Putin regime!
- The Oyghor crisis: where Chinese Muslims whom are also Muslims just like Palestinians, are being massacred by the hands of the “anti Imperialism (!!)” Chinese regime!
- Kashmir: Where Kashmiris who are also Muslims just like Palestinians, are getting killed by the “infidel” Indian army!
- Most importantly, their own brothers and sisters in Iran who are being mass murdered by the hand of the “anti Imperialism (!!)” Islamic regime!
Of course the examples are numerous, but the question remains the same. Why the double standard? Why Palestine more than others? Why no accountability for Iran, Sudan, China, Russia, India, ……and others. Why just Israel? Do these people hate Israel more than they love Palestine, or themselves, or life!!?? This is the question we should be asking them every time they put on the “supporting the Palestinian people” mask, because we know by raising this question, their false claims of caring about Gaza and Palestine will be revealed. And as result, fascist regimes such as IRI will not be able to take advantage of the public opinion war in this conflict.
Isn’t this the best example of the fact that some anti Iran, anti U.S, leftist and IRI apologists Iranians on this site and elsewhere, and we all know who they are, do not give a flying crap about Palestinians. Would they be shouting and cursing if Palestinians killed by lets say, Russians!? For them, as long as Russia and Sudan and Iran and China can sit together and bad mouth America, whatever they do is OK. Even if that means destroying their country.

Little knowledge is a dangerous thing

I don't know where you get your facts from. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are NOT all muslim. That part of India is an extremely multi-religious region, with the population divided into Sunni muslims, Shi'a muslims, Ahmadiyyahs, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists jostling with each other.
And India is not a religious country like you lot. Indian Army is a 'devoutly' secular force. In fact, during the start of the militancy in Kashmir, the Indian army general leading the operations there was Maj. Gen. Afseer Kareem (a Sunni muslim).
Before babbling the usual nonsense about muslims being killed by infidels, at least try to understand the facts first.

Ayatollahs in fear of peace, attacked a rally!
//www.rottengods.com
Basiji militia and Iranian security forces raided a rally against ongoing violence in Gaza which was arranged by an independent group called Mothers for Peace. Normally Iranian authorities don't have problem about anything that goes against Israel or supports Palestinian but it seems they couldn't let a group of educated human rights lover would run a rally and ask for peace!
There is no doubt that ayatollahs are against peace in that region so any rally for peace or against violence in Gaza from peace loving people wouldn't sound right for ayatollahs who are supporting Hamas fighters all the way.
Attacking Mothers for Peace rally came after Basiji militia members attacked Nobel Laureate, Mrs. Shirin Ebadi's house and accused her of being traitor for not condemning Israel and supporting US, and same sort of non-sense remarks. I should emphasize there is real fear of her assassination in the meantime.
In the clash between security forces and Mothers for Peace, plainclothed security forces took cameras and attacked couple of people violently and ended the rally by force.

But, aren't Israeli civilians part of humanity, too?
This is even more interesting

but Iranians have had enough of the religious fundamentalists OF ALL KIND.
Here's an interesting quote from Judaism.
“When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are to possess and casts out the many peoples living there, you shall then slaughter them all and utterly destroy them…You shall make no agreements with them nor show them any mercy…You shall destroy their altars, break down their images, cut down their groves and burn their graven images with fire. For you are a holy people unto the LORD thy God and He has chosen you to be a special people above all others upon the face of the earth…”
–Book of Deuteronomy, 7:1-8
How interesting.
by Mehdi Mazloom on Fri Jan 16, 2009 09:11 AM PSTAccording to recent Op-Ad published by the famed Tom Friedman, Not a single Muslim went out on the streets to protest against recent Mumbai massacre. But, they did go out by droves and kill more then 100 people over a stupid and insignificant cartoons of Muhammad.
This is the type of sick society to which Hamas, Hizbollah and IRI belong, and the ones which Israeli (and the rest of the civilized world) have to deal with every day..
What the heck
by gary (not verified) on Fri Jan 16, 2009 08:28 AM PSTFine you want to compare your studied analogy to Gaza and Iran and Afghanistan and whomever you damn want, but would it be better to say that it is all wrong instead. Wouldn't be better to say that Gaza has nothing to do with the damn USA crap (Interests) wouldn't be better to say that the damn USA and Israel plan for democracy backed fire on them. Hamas or whomever takes damn power in the Palestinians country will not be good enough unless otherwise agrees to USA and Israel demands. Didn't Hamas won the elections fair and square. Do you think that Palestinians now will vote for the double agent Abbas. Do you think that Muslims around the world will not support Hamas!! that would be stupid to think this way, as this made Hamas stronger gained the people vote not the government votes of course.
One last thing, you should go Gaza first and see why the hell in the world Hamas didn't stop firing rockets into Israel.
Build a wall, kills their families, Childers, restricted them from doing any kind of respectful life, built more settlements, fires as they wish, say something and do the opposite, lies and reject UN resolutions (300 resolutions against Israel from the UN and none of them was enforced) do you want me to go on the list.
PS
What is a country that has different language, religion, traditions, and color doing in the middle or 300 million people who speaks the same language, have the same traditions, have the same color and religion. Oh I remember it is called occupation you idiot.

Sickening comparison
by Cyrus_ (not verified) on Fri Jan 16, 2009 05:30 AM PSTIt is a sickening comparison to use the number of people being killed while sitting in the comfort of their living room. It is also a sickening comparison where the level of outrage for one conflict is measured against another. This is only a trap set up by those who try to hide their true feeling for the aggressor in Gaza crisis. dige inghadr ashke Temsah narizin, delemoon bara shoma ha aab shod.
