Pomegranates Double Vinyl Release

Monday 25th’s show is a studio interview with one of the two compilers of this double album vinyl release. We chat about topics ranging from the significance of the music, to common themes amongst the diaspora and we also sample some of the tracks.

"The music reflects Iran at a time when it was undergoing massive change, partly due to the influx of Petrodollars and the pervasive influence of modernity which created a tension between mystical Eastern traditions and the freedom of socioeconomic development.“

We first heard about this Finders Keepers release while it was still in it’s formative days in 2007 and you can listen to that interview on our PODCAST PAGE.

This show repeats the following Sunday 20.30 GMT – for ways to listen check the front page here, or join us on Facebook for more info.
